I know I'm a week or 2 late but thought I'd share some photos taken of the Chicago skyline the Saturday before the Super Bowl. I wish I had taken my tripod but the temp was about 4 degrees and a 20 mph wind that night so I'm glad I didn't. If my fingers were exposed for a minute they would become numb and start hurting?! The sacrifices we make to try and take a picture!

Let me know what you think and don't even get me started on the game!!!

Nice pictures, to bad they did not do better in the Super Bowl.

Wow! I had no idea there were so many. Nice shots, I have only done one photo trip in chicago. I am dying to try the nightscape from the observatory.

thanks for the views,

MIkeeee

Great pics!!! Thanks for sharing!! I had no idea they even did that!

Too bad the Bears weren't! :rolleyes1 Sorry--couldn't resist. :lmao: Go Colts!!!

That last one is cool--I hadn't seen that. I've taken many pictures of the skyline from that area but never gotten one I was satisfied with because we're always there at the wrong time of day, and/or the husband and kids are rushing me! Such a pretty view though.

Nice shots! I was in Chicago back in October and spent most of the three days I had walking around taking pictures. The city and parks are very interesting.

Here's one of mine from the Aquarium;

Nice pictures. I love pictures of city skylines at night.

Boston has done very similar things for the Sox and Pats. I have a great panaramic of the Boston skyline the night Larry Birds # was retired. Big 33 light up on the Prudential Building. I think that is very cool when cities do that.

You did a great job of capturing it. Well done!

:love: Love the city.... love your pix!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:love:

Awesome job Woody64!! I have some from someone (can't think of his name right now) when the White Sox won the World Series that I am about to scrap. We were going to take the kids downtown to see the helmets, etc that Saturday before the Super Bowl but it was WAY TOO COLD!! I was outvoted on that one.

Maybe next year, when they're in it again!!

How cool, nothing like that around us...lol. One day I'll get to a big city, well atleast something bigger than Orlando/Miami. NY or Chicago here I come.
