      I’d guess it’s like this because otherwise you’d have a long run of cable under floorboards etc only protected by a substation fuse...

      its i have the cutout normal at the entry of door then the wire leaving that goes under floorboard then goes straight to the utility...

      That cutout has been remade recently- BADLY. whoever has done it doesn’t seem of have removed the old bitumen and used a heat shrink...
