In an exclusive collaboration with Trulia, we culled the 25 hugest homes in the country currently on the market.
Spanning 13 states, the single-family abodes range in price from $2.395 million to $159 million and measure between 25,051 and 47,774 square feet. Though California and Georgia boast the highest concentration of mega-mansions with four apiece, Florida’s yet-to-be-sold $159 million Le Palais Royale remains the largest and most expensive residence now up for grabs (barring Hugh Hefner’s $200 million Playboy mansion, which is not listed on the MLS and is only being shown to qualified buyers).
Apart from the beachside behemoth, only three havens featured in our previous roundup of the most expensive home listing in every state were sizable enough to make the cut (including this $150 million spec home in Holmby Hills). And while the two most grandiose properties tout nine-figure stickers, the majority of the colossal pads are relative bargains with price tags under $10 million.
