Geocache Description:

a Dinosaur Train Geocache

Utahraptor

This dinosaur was discovered in the state of Utah in 1991.  Utahraptor had big eyes, long fingers and hands that could grab a smaller animal, and large clawed feet. This meateater used a wickedly hooked, slashing claw on each foot rather than jaws and teeth to attack its prey.

Utahraptor is the largest of the "raptor" dinosaurs.  It stood about 6 feet tall and could be from 23 to 35 feet long and weighed over 1,000 pounds.

The large slashing claws on each foot were about 9 inches long!  They were much like a cat's claws.  When utahraptor was running around, the claws was kept up out ot the way, but when the dinosaur attacked - out came the claws!

This cache is hidden in front of Northeast Indiana's local PBS station - WFWA PBS39.
