Cumbernauld Railway Station

The station is on the DunbartonshireGlasgow, Cumbernauld & Falkirk Grahamston line, 14 miles north east of Glasgow Queen Street. It is located in the southern suburbs of the town, around a mile from the town centre.

The station opened in August 1848 and closed a year later due to lack of use, but was reopened in 1870 and has remained open ever since.

The line was electrified and the station facilities improved, including the addition of a ramped footbridge and new waiting rooms, in 2013/15.
