A Little History
The Garden Tea was inspired by the Getty Villa's authentically recreated first-century Roman gardens—and by visitors' fond memories of the beloved Tea Room, which closed in 1997.
Picnicking
Bring your own food and non-alcoholic drinks to enjoy at any public seating area.
Tables are available outside the Cafe or take a seat in the outdoor theater.
Coolers or picnic boxes larger than 11 x 17 x 8 inches aren't allowed inside galleries. Please check them at Coat Check in the Atrium before enjoying the exhibitions.
