The stories you are about to read celebrate love, sex and romance between men. They are a product of the Love Is Always Write promotion sponsored by the Goodreads M/M Romance Group and are published as a free gift to you.
What Is Love Is Always Write?
The Goodreads M/M Romance Group invited members to choose a photo and pen a letter or story prompt asking for a short M/M romance story inspired by the image; authors from the group were encouraged to select a letter or story prompt and write an original tale. The result was an outpouring of creativity that shone a spotlight on the special bond between M/M romance writers and the people who love what they do.
Nearly 150 stories were submitted and published as a ten volume set – as well as an additional special bonus volume with three novel-length stories – titled Love Is Always Write; this edition is Volume Nine.
Whether you are an avid M/M romance reader or new to the genre, you are in for a delicious treat.

Super nerd. Former EIC at Cx Pulp. I've won Rainbow Awards, and still can't believe it. A small medicinal horse. The Meryl Streep of stunt corpses. Enby.
I think there is something for everyone in this volume, but if by some weird chance there isn't, hold on, there are 11 in total. If you like the m/m genre many of these books will be keepers.
Fair disclosure, as one of the M/M Romance Group moderators, I could be considered biased, however, these stories, as a whole, do rate a 5 star rating in my opinion.
I really liked the shifters in "Sin" by N.R. Walker. "Skin or Scale" was an interesting read, although I thought it had an abrupt ending. "Soulmates" by Andrea Speed was bizarre but entertaining. Viktor Alexander created an interesting society in "Steamy." I definitely liked how much PNR and SFR was in this volume.
Hmm, what to say on that? I really liked some of the stories in this volume, but most of them quite annoyed me. So unfortunately, it's only two stars this time. I still hope the next anthology will be better, though.
Spy Hill by Dusk Peterson (historical fantasy/alternate universe)
Stay With Me by AJ Jarrett (contemporary/law enforcement) 4 stars - I wasn't sure about this one but it was so sweet and nice. It was nice that Gabe and Lucas had had similar circumstances with their past relationships, but they handled it so differently, one positive one negative. I was starting to get a little annoyed with Gabe's daddy issues, I mean, it happens, get over it. But Lucas was just so wonderful it made it all OK, and it had just the perfect hint of D/s.
Stuck on You by Anna Birmingham (contemporary/college)
Take a Breath by Tam Ames (contemporary/ER) 4.5 stars - I really enjoyed this one a lot. Thank you Baby Jesus for a short story without insta-love and the characters jumping immediately into bed together. A connection growing over time. What is this foreign concept? The Trekkie stuff was adorable. James was hilarious. Sure Eli was a Dick at times, but I think James's easygoing personality is just what he needs.
Telling Jase by Penny Wilder (contemporary/performance arts) 4 stars - Great picture, love the tatts. I liked this story a lot, and got a good feel for both of the characters. I did feel like when Sean finally told Jase how he felt, it was a little sudden (despite him having known for a while). It didn't really flow right for me, but as the story continued Ms. Wilder really flushed everything out and even gave us some nice closure with an epilogue.
As one of the group who worked on editing and proofing these stories and helped put the anthologies together I might be considered biased, but these anthologies are definitely worthy of the 5 star rating.
