Preschool Winter Mittens ~ Easy and Inexpensive Christmas Craft
With the cold, blustery weather in full-force this winter, I decided we needed to make a cozy craft to warm us up. This little winter craft is quick and easy making it perfect for creating with toddlers and preschoolers.

Have the kids choose their favorite colors and stickers to decorate these simple mittens.
To make the winter mitten craft, you will need:
- Paper
- Scissors
- Glue
- Assortment of Foam Stickers
- Cotton Balls
- Yarn
- Printable Mitten Template
Print the mittens onto colorful paper and have the kids cut them out. Glue the cut out mittens onto a coordinating paper.
Glue on some stretched out cotton balls to to make fluffy trim for the mittens.
Decorated them with foam stickers, sequins or craft jewels however the kids desire.
While the mittens are drying, you could read The Mitten by Jan Brett. It’s a great story about forest animals who push their way into a cozy mitten that was dropped in the snow. The illustrations are amazing! Its a must read.
