Abstract: The airport runway foreign object debris(FOD) detection system was studied on the basis of the research of the algorithms of airport runway foreign object detection at home and abroad.First,the algorithm processes of the detection system were outlined,and then the key algorithms of foreign body detection algorithm——moving target detection algorithm was studied.We studied an improved frame difference method and an algorithm combining adaptive Gaussian mixture background subtraction and improved frame difference.Experimental results show that the foreign body detection results appear empty phenomenon can be effectively improved,and the effects of test results in background mutation can be inhibited by the improved algorithm.The foreign object detection on the runway pavement can be achieved effectively and real-timely.
