Customer: 1996 geo tracker-short in trailer hitch wiring fried fuse. now park and clearence lights stay on all the time. wired switch to break circuit which it does but headlights cut off when other lights are switched on.

Very likely and if not then we need to split the system at that relay.

YEs, if you remove the relay and it stops then you know it is the relay or the control side, if it stays on then you know it is shorted wires after the relay.
