Comedy legend Sir Norman Wisdom's gravestone will be inscribed with the words Lucky Little Devil - if the church allows it, his children have revealed.
Nick, 57, and Jacqui, 55, said the words best described their "one-of-a-kind" dad.
Jacqui, who runs a pharmacy in Haywards Heath, West Sussex, said: "He was a cheeky little man who never for a moment thought he was entitled to the immense success he had been blessed with. He loved the public for loving him."
More than 600 people attended Wisdom's funeral on Saturday in Douglas, Isle of Man, his home for 30 years.
Church authorities must now decide if they will allow Lucky Little Devil - taken from the title of a book by Wisdom - on his tombstone.
Archdeacon the Ven Brian Smith said: "Unlike England, we do not have rules about headstones. The church burial authority will review the request."
