Erin Andrews will replace Brooke Burke-Charvet as the host of Dancing with the Stars, a source confirms to PEOPLE. The FOX Sports reporter, 35, will take over as Tom Bergeron’s co-host for season 18 of ABC’s dancing competition. Andrews is no stranger to the series, having competed on season 10 of DWTS with pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy. Burke-Charvet, 42, hosted the show for seven seasons. On Friday, she released a statement to E! Online. “I have enjoyed seven seasons co-hosting DWTS but understand the need for change considering the position of the show at this juncture,” Burke-Charvet said. “I’ve always been one to embrace change and [I’m] looking forward to pursuing opportunities I previously wasn’t able to entertain because of contractual obligations to the show. I’ve seen my fair share of shocking eliminations in the ballroom, but this one takes the cake.” The show also recently fired bandleader and orchestrator Harold Wheeler, as well as his 28-member band.
