We met
tasted grapes of wrath
gathered from the vine
yard
crushed in defiance
the wine was bitter
sweet
served in identical
cups
laughter was heard
east of Eden
we found ourselves
After wine from grapes of wrath, the couple finding themselves east of Eden brings them to reality - maybe real love. Thank you.
How very romantic Heather. I can't think of a better place to have met but East of Eden. Adam and Eve shared this beautiful garden but it was just for a while. They were misled by the serpent thus they were banned from Eden then drank the grapes of wrath instead. An excellent write I must say.
The east has always been symbolical of enlightenment and of finding oneself. Interesting and thought-provoking write.
This poem resonates with allusion to the beginning of creation when Eve shared the fruit of wrath with Adam! ! A great symbolic write! !
