- 2. Logarithms • Binary uses base 2. Now, work out the 20 = 1 log2(1) = 0 first 5 numbers in log 21 = 2 log2(2) = 1 base 5. 22 = 4 log2(4) = 2 23 = 8 log2(8) = 3 24 = 16 log2(16) = 4 25 = 32 log2(32) = 5
