This document discusses biblical prophecies about the sanctuary in heaven and the antichrist power that opposes God. It describes how the antichrist power thinks to change God's law and times, and commits spiritual fornication by leading people away from God's truth. It warns that this power will try to enforce false worship and a mark of authority against God's law, but calls God's people to remain faithful to his commandments.
Rom 12:6 De manera que, teniendo diferentes dones, según la gracia que nos es dada, si el de profecía, úsese conforme a la medida de la fe; 7 O SI DE SERVICIO, EN SERVIR; o el que enseña, en la enseñanza.
King Nebuchadnezzar has a dream that troubles him, but he cannot remember the dream. He demands that his magicians and wise men tell him both the dream and its interpretation. When they are unable to do so, he decrees that they should all be killed. Daniel is able to interpret the king's dream, saving the lives of the wise men. The king's dream foretells four successive world empires, and Daniel explains that the dream reveals that God controls the rise and fall of nations. The king is greatly impressed by Daniel's wisdom and ability, and appoints him to a high position in Babylon.
This document discusses the characteristics of the sealed and the church's role in the end times based on several Bible passages. It states that the church will go forth conquering and to conquer, clothed in God's grace and glory. It describes the former and latter rains as preparing the crops, and says the latter rain will revive and strengthen God's people during the final conflict. It highlights passages about the loud cry of the third angel's message, God's people coming out of Babylon, and the earth being filled with God's glory in the last days.

We have finally come to our eternal home in the last two chapters of the Bible. What a way to end! What a future for those who "drink of the water" (22:17) by trusting in Jesus Christ, the focal point of the book of Revelation and the entire Bible. Download the entire manuscript, study notes, and handout at BibleStudyDownloads.org (NT Preaching link). You may also listen to the audio of this message at http://cicfamily.com/sermon-listing/?tag=Revelation+of+John.
The document provides an overview of Lesson 11 which discusses the prophetic message and raison d'être of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. It covers:
1. The prophetic resurgence of the Church as foretold in Revelation 10.
2. The prophetic message of the three angels in Revelation 14:6-12 containing themes of creation, judgment, and the gospel.
3. How this final message calls God's followers to come out of Babylon and join the faithful end-time remnant by keeping God's commandments and having faith in Jesus.
This document provides a summary of key passages from Revelation 22. It describes visions that John saw of the new heaven and new earth, including a pure river of water and the tree of life. It emphasizes that Jesus is coming soon and those who obey God's commandments will be blessed. It warns that the unrighteous like murderers, idolaters, liars and those who alter the words of prophecy will be excluded from heaven. The document encourages readers to follow Jesus and prepare for his second coming.
The letter to the church in Laodicea criticizes them for being lukewarm in their faith. Jesus says they are neither cold nor hot in their devotion to him. While the church saw itself as rich and in need of nothing, Jesus says they are actually wretched, miserable, poor, blind and naked. He calls them to buy gold refined by fire, white garments and eye salve to truly understand their spiritual condition and be renewed in faith.
Are you "hot" or "cold" for Christ? He prefers one or the other. What he can't stand is the "lukewarm" Christian. Such a person won't lose his salvation, but he could lose his ministry, his privileges and even his physical life! This often happens to wealthy believers who trust themselves, as happened to the rich church at Laodicea. Hear the warning. Better yet, heed it.
This document discusses distinguishing between true and false prophets. It says that false prophets are numerous, indistinguishable externally, bear inappropriate or fake fruit, and are invalid Christians. False prophets appear like sheep but are inwardly ravenous wolves. One can discern them by their fruits, as a good tree bears good fruit but a bad tree bears bad fruit. The document warns that many will claim to have prophesied and performed miracles in Jesus' name, but he will declare that he never knew them.
1. Nebuchadnezzar sets up a golden statue and commands everyone to worship it, but Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego refuse due to their devotion to God.
2. When brought before Nebuchadnezzar, they affirm they will not worship the statue even if it means death in a fiery furnace.
3. They are thrown into the furnace but survive unharmed, demonstrating God's power and protection of their convictions, and Nebuchadnezzar praises their God.
The document provides an overview of the biblical tabernacle and its significance. It notes that approximately 50 chapters of the Bible concern the tabernacle, which was God's dwelling place among the Israelites and a representation of his desire to restore relationship with humanity. The tabernacle foreshadowed Jesus Christ tabernacling or dwelling among humanity. It also points to God's future dwelling with believers in the New Jerusalem.
This document discusses the symbolism of the church of Laodicea representing the spiritual condition of God's people from 1844 to the close of probation. It describes Laodicea as being under judgment due to being lukewarm, self-satisfied, and in need of spiritual revival. Key points include that judgment occurred only in the most holy place of the heavenly sanctuary, and that the restoration of God's sanctuary and people coincides with the cleansing of sin and restoration to Christ's image. It calls God's people to open their hearts to Christ's invitation to buy from Him the gold of faith, white raiment of righteousness, and eyesalve of spiritual discernment.
Chapters 2 & 3 of the teaching series on the Bible Book of Revelation.
Notes are mostly adapted from Gorden Ferguson’s Revelation Series, “Death before Denial”
This is a presentation that was used by Prason in a Bible study class to teach from the book of Corinthians. Go through the presentation and revert for clarifications.
The document discusses the sanctuary and its significance. It explains that the earthly sanctuary that God commanded Moses to build was a pattern of the heavenly sanctuary. It describes how Satan seeks to veil Jesus and the sanctuary from our sight. It then discusses the significance of the "daily" or "continual" services that occurred in the earthly sanctuary, and how the papacy exalted itself and took away the daily/continual aspect of the sanctuary services.
Paul wrote the book of Colossians to the church in Colossae to address heretical teachings influencing the believers. The heresy involved Jewish legalism combined with mystical elements. Paul refuted this by emphasizing Christ's supremacy - as creator, reconciler through his death, and head of the church. He affirmed Christ's sufficiency and fulfilled the law. Paul encouraged the Colossians to stand firm in faith and live according to their identity in Christ through love, not legalism or asceticism. He closed by sending greetings and affirming Epaphras' prayers for them.
The document describes the final judgment according to Revelation 20:11-15. It summarizes that John saw a great white throne and God sitting on it, with the earth and heavens fleeing from His face. The dead, both small and great, will stand before God, and books will be opened containing records of people's deeds. Another book opened is the Book of Life, and people will be judged according to their works. The sea and death will give up the dead to be judged. Death and Hades will be thrown into the lake of fire, which is the second death. Anyone not found written in the Book of Life will also be thrown into the lake of fire.
1) David served God's purpose in his generation by working humbly as a shepherd, fighting bravely against enemies of Israel like Goliath, waiting patiently for God to fulfill his promise of kingship, and leaving a godly legacy through his writings in the book of Psalms.
2) All Christians should seek to understand God's unique purpose and plan for their lives and serve Him faithfully in both their daily choices and through helping others learn about the gospel.
3) While God forgives sins, disobedience still has consequences; David's life provides an example of both God's forgiveness and the repercussions of wrongdoing.
This document provides a summary of a lesson about Jesus and the Sabbath. It discusses how Jesus viewed the Sabbath as made for humanity's benefit, not the other way around. It outlines how Jesus healed people on the Sabbath to demonstrate its purpose of bringing liberation. The document also notes that early Christians continued to observe the seventh-day Sabbath based on Old Testament teachings.
God's Economy & Receiving Your Inheritance - Session 5Os Hillman
This document discusses receiving an inheritance from God through one's calling and purpose. It makes several key points:
1. Every believer can receive an inheritance from God based on their work on earth fulfilling their calling.
2. People can lose their inheritance from God by receiving things inappropriately, such as through manipulation or disobedience.
3. Understanding one's unique work life purpose and calling is key to identifying and receiving one's inheritance from God. The document uses examples from the Bible to illustrate how people fulfilled their purpose and received rewards.
The document provides an overview of three key events related to the second coming of Christ: 1) Christ's ministry in the heavenly sanctuary, 2) the second coming itself, and 3) the resurrection of the righteous. It discusses what the Bible teaches about each topic, including Christ's role as high priest interceding for humanity in heaven, the signs that will precede His return to earth, and how His resurrection guarantees believers will likewise be resurrected to eternal life. The overall message is one of hope for those awaiting Christ's return and the restoration of all things.
Salt that loses its saltiness? Cities on hills? Lamps? What on earth is Jesus talking about - and what could it possibly mean to exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees? A Cafechurch session from 7/2/2016
This document discusses keys to successful prayer. It questions whether the motivation, method, or frequency of one's prayers is lacking. It emphasizes developing an intimate experience of God's glory through prayer by "staying close" to God rather than "staying away", and growing one's connection with God. It presents the "Tower of Prayer" concept involving trusting, watching, and responding elements.
The document provides details about a revival week at Maseno University with the theme of "The Sanctuary". It discusses Satan seeking to veil Jesus and eclipse His light from our sight. It examines why Satan hates the sanctuary and tries to block the view of it. Finally, it analyzes chapter 8 of the book of Daniel verse by verse, noting that it depicts the ram representing the Medo-Persian kingdom and discusses the ram's pushing westward, northward, and southward.
Christians believe in Jesus Christ and their holy book is the Bible. The Bible is divided into the Old Testament and New Testament. The Old Testament contains the history and stories of the Jewish people before Jesus, while the New Testament focuses on the life of Jesus and teachings for how Christians should live. Christians see the Bible as a moral guide that tells them about Jesus and how to live according to his teachings.
This document provides an overview of Christianity including its history, beliefs, practices, and moral values. It discusses:
1. Christianity began with Jesus Christ, a Jew who was baptized by John the Baptist and began a ministry of teaching and performing miracles in Palestine. He was crucified but his followers believed he rose from the dead.
2. Central Christian beliefs include the Trinity of God as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and that Jesus was both fully human and divine. Salvation comes through Jesus, and the Church continues his work through sacraments.
3. Christians celebrate holidays like Christmas and Easter, attend church services, pray, and read the Bible as their holy text which informs their

This document discusses Easter traditions both common around the world and unique to the author's country. It notes traditions involving eggs, animals, boys catching and hitting girls with whips, and how Easter is less popular due to religion but still celebrated as a sign of spring. The author concludes by saying they enjoy Easter for the holidays and arrival of spring.
Christians celebrate Easter to commemorate the resurrection of Jesus Christ. They celebrate with Easter eggs, as eggs symbolize new life just as Jesus achieved new life when he rose from the dead. The Easter bunny tradition originated from rabbits being a symbol of new life because they reproduce so frequently. Easter is celebrated on a Sunday between March 22nd and April 25th, depending on the date of the first full moon after the spring equinox.
1) The document discusses how in the Old Testament, Israel was referred to as the bride of God but was unfaithful.
2) It explains that in the New Testament, the church (both Jews and Gentiles) becomes the bride of Christ.
3) Several bible verses are cited that portray the church as the body and bride of Christ, with the goal of presenting the church to Christ as a pure and spotless bride without blemish when He returns.
The Republic of Turkey is located in Western Asia and Southeast Europe. It borders Syria, Iraq, Iran, Armenia, and Georgia and has coastlines along the Black Sea. The majority of Turks speak Turkish and practice Islam. Turkey has a population of over 80 million people and its largest city and economic center is Istanbul, though the capital is Ankara. The Turkish economy relies heavily on agriculture, with major exports including grains, sugar beets, grapes, and sunflower seeds.
Jesus spoke seven phrases from the cross that conveyed important messages:
1) "Father, forgive them" - expressing forgiveness for those crucifying him.
2) "Today you will be with me in paradise" - offering hope of salvation to one of the criminals crucified with him.
3) Looking to his mother, Mary, and the disciple John, saying "Dear woman, here is your son" - showing care and provision for his family.
4) Crying out "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?" - expressing the depths of loneliness and suffering he felt.
5) "I am thirsty" - continuing to experience human suffering and needs
The cross is central to both the Bible and history. It represents the core of Christian faith, as God died for humanity. Just as Jesus carried his cross, all people must bear their own burdens in life, as each person faces different challenges. God allows hardship and suffering to test people, transform them, teach them, and train them, so that they can testify to his influence in their lives.

The document questions why Good Friday is called "Good" despite depicting the horrific torture and crucifixion of Jesus. It explains that through Jesus' death on the cross, he took the punishment for humanity's sins, satisfying God's requirement for justice and allowing for reconciliation between God and humans. By repenting and believing in Jesus' sacrifice, people can be forgiven of their sins and enter into an eternal relationship with God, which makes Good Friday truly good news despite its sad events.
Let us pray
All: O God, who for our redemption gave your only-begotten Son to the death of the Cross, and by his glorious resurrection delivered us from the power of the enemy, grant us, your servants, to die to sin and to live for righteousness, that, meriting your favor by the way we live, we may be worthy to come to the paschal feast with minds made pure; through the same Christ our Lord. Amen.
The document provides an overview of the biblical parable of the wedding garment from Matthew 22:1-14. It discusses how the parable reveals that not all who profess to follow Christ are truly faithful, and how God will separate the faithful from the unfaithful. It argues that salvation rests on Christ's righteousness, not human works, so there must be a divine investigation and judgment to determine who is truly clothed in Christ's righteousness.
Easter is a Christian holiday celebrating Jesus' resurrection that incorporates many pagan traditions. It is marked by decorated eggs, eating chocolate eggs, sending cards, and having two weeks of school holidays. Christians attend church services and have special meals, while children enjoy egg hunts, baking, and other Easter-themed activities at school.
Easter is a spring holiday celebrated on Sunday that involves coloring eggs, hiding them for Easter egg hunts, wearing new clothes including floral dresses and hats, eating meals like ham dinners, and recognizing symbols of new life like white lilies and the Easter Bunny who brings baskets of eggs and candy for children.
Easter is a Christian religious holiday that is celebrated on the first Sunday after the full moon following the March equinox. It is a time for families to attend church services, enjoy large meals like ham dinners together, and for children to participate in egg hunts where they search the yard for colored eggs hidden in Easter baskets among blades of grass.
The document discusses the significance of marriage as a practice within Christianity. It describes the key components of a Christian marriage ceremony, including vows, readings from scripture, and symbols like rings that express the faith's beliefs about marriage as a lifelong, sacred union. It analyzes how the ceremony marks an important transition for individuals and also strengthens community bonds by reinforcing Christian teachings on relationships and family.
The document discusses why self-elevation is wrong based on biblical passages. It notes that Jesus told a parable about a Pharisee who elevated himself by boasting about his righteousness compared to others. However, Jesus taught that the Pharisee was not justified before God and that everyone who exalts themselves will be humbled. Additionally, several proverbs warn that pride comes before destruction and that there is more hope for a fool than for someone who is wise in their own eyes. The document concludes by advising humility under God in order to be exalted at the proper time.
Paul warned against thinking too highly of oneself because Jesus taught that those who elevate themselves will be humbled. The Pharisee in Jesus' parable elevated himself over the tax collector by thanking God he was not like other sinners, but the tax collector who humbled himself was justified. Proverbs also warns that pride comes before destruction while humility precedes honor.
The document discusses how those who suffer, are sick, sorrow, sin, need thanksgiving, or seek truth can find what they need at Jesus' feet. It provides biblical references showing Jesus helping those who suffered, were sick, in sorrow, and sinned. It also notes one can thank Jesus or seek truth from him. The document concludes with a quote from Psalms describing the benefits one receives from blessing and forgetting not the benefits of the Lord.
The document describes events that occur on the last day when Jesus returns. It tells of warning sirens sounding and people realizing this is the end. One person wants to be baptized now realizing it may be too late. Strange things start happening and someone sees Jesus in the sky. Fires break out and people are brought before God for judgment. One person claims to have been Christian their life but is still sent to darkness, realizing God has forgotten and left them alone forever. The epilogue discusses three people not ready - one who refused to obey the gospel, one with secret sin, and one who was a hypocrite. It asks what the reader's story would be if Jesus returned right now.
The document discusses recalling the former days of early Christianity and conforming to Christ rather than the present world. It encourages seeking the old paths by putting on Christ in baptism, conforming to him as he is changeless, and remembering God's eternal counsel. The document advocates striving to return to the apostolic times by abiding in the teachings from the beginning and accepting no other gospel than what was taught by the apostles.
This document uses the 2010 Chilean mine disaster as an analogy for salvation through Jesus Christ. It discusses how (1) help must come from above, like God sending Jesus to save humanity, (2) those above did the hard work of planning and executing the rescue while the rescued miners' role was relatively easy, and (3) there will be a great reunion in heaven between believers, just as the miners were reunited with their families after being rescued.
Solomon attempted to find fulfillment through pleasures, possessions, alcohol, sex, family, and achievements but concluded that the only true fulfillment is found in God. The document goes on to say that fulfillment is found specifically in Christ, who is the reason for all of creation and fills believers. Christians should comprehend that as believers in Christ they are filled with peace, and only Christ can provide true and complete fulfillment.
The document discusses the qualities of the greatest sermon ever preached according to the Bible. It states that greatness is hindered by pride but attained through humility, as exemplified by John the Baptist. The greatest sermon is characterized by service, like Jesus served others rather than exalting himself. It involves giving oneself in humble service to God, like Jesus gave his life for others.
Jesus cares deeply for those who are struggling. He understands pain, temptation, sadness, and fear. The Bible tells us that through his sacrifice, Jesus opened the way for us to bring our burdens to God. We can cast all our anxieties on Jesus, and he will help and comfort us. No matter what challenges we face, Jesus is always with us.
The document discusses building character based on having a God-centered worldview and fearing God. It outlines several elements involved in building a trustworthy character, including honesty, integrity, reliability and loyalty. It also discusses building respect, responsibility, fairness, caring spirit, and good citizenship into one's character. The overall message is that developing strong character begins with having the fear of God as one's foundation.
The document discusses how to become strong in grace through God. It states that grace is accessed through faith in Jesus Christ. A person can grow stronger in grace by using their God-given abilities, being humble, walking uprightly, giving, and through God's word. However, one can grow weaker by attempting to be justified by the Law of Moses, continuing in sin such as bitterness or lewdness. The conclusion encourages the reader to become strong in grace.
They crucified Jesus at a place called Golgotha, also known as Calvary, which means "the skull". Roman soldiers carried out the crucifixion on Jesus, the Son of God and Lord of Glory, in accordance with the will of the Jewish leaders and as a fulfillment of scripture that he would die for the sins of humanity.
The abundant life is an eternal life that consists of more than what is experienced on earth and has an eternal perspective. It can only be enjoyed by believing and repenting, following Christ, and being persistent, and it comes from God through his word.
The document discusses the greatest commandment from the Bible to love God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength. It explains that this means to seek God with affection, be thankful for what He has given, give your entire self to God, focus your mind on learning His word, and use all your abilities and resources for Him. The first and greatest commandment is to love the Lord your God with all aspects of yourself.
This passage discusses how to properly count or view different aspects of life according to biblical principles. It encourages counting trials as joy, esteeming others above oneself, not considering oneself as having achieved perfection, and considering all things as loss compared to knowing Christ. The overall message is about gaining the right perspective on life's challenges and priorities according to God's word.
The document warns about false prophets who speak without God's authority, diverting people from the truth and dividing communities, with false prophets facing damnation. It encourages detecting false prophets by testing whether their teachings are consistent with God's word, as many false prophets exist in the world seeking to mislead people.
The document discusses lame sacrifices that do not honor God. It notes that while the Law required unblemished animals for sacrifice, God was more concerned with the condition of the worshipper's heart. Lame sacrifices are characterized as being half-hearted and of inferior quality, dishonoring to God. The document asks if our own sacrifices - such as prayers, songs, gifts, and service - are lame in a similar way. It concludes by emphasizing that we were redeemed through the perfect sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
The document compares and contrasts the biblical Ark built by Noah and the Church. It notes that both were built by God through Noah and Christ respectively, both have one builder, and both provide salvation for those within (the Ark and the Church) while those outside face destruction. The Ark and Church each have one window, one door, and serve as the family for those who are inside.
God is described as a rock in the Bible, representing salvation, refuge, defense, strength, and glory. Because God is a rock, the Psalmist encourages trusting in Him alone rather than in people or money, and waiting silently for Him while pouring out one's heart.
The document discusses how one can make the most of their "last chapter" in life by being obedient to God, having peace and hope, and partaking in Christ. It notes that in one's final days, they can avoid simply following what seems right, disobeying the gospel, and collecting wages of sin. The document concludes that one's last chapter does not need to be "the end" if they become slaves to God, as the end can instead be everlasting life.

An information resource refers to any material, tool, or medium that provides factual data, knowledge, or guidance for learning, research, or decision-making. It encompasses a wide range of formats, including books, journals, databases, websites, audiovisual content, and digital repositories. Information resources are typically organized, stored, and made accessible for users through libraries, archives, or online platforms. Unlike an information source, which is the origin or provider of the knowledge (like a person or an institution), an information resource is the product or recorded form of that knowledge. In educational settings, information resources are essential for teaching, learning, and academic inquiry, helping students and researchers explore topics, gather evidence, and develop informed perspectives. Effective use of information resources depends on the user’s ability to locate, evaluate, and apply them appropriately. As such, they play a critical role in promoting information literacy and supporting lifelong learning across various disciplines.

2. The Bride of Christ The wedding is in the future…in heaven! (Revelation 21:2, 9) This means that we are currently in the time of preparation for the wedding.
3. The Bride of Christ The Bride prepares herself for her Wedding Day She is purified by the sacrifice of Christ (Ephesians 5:25-27; Psalm 93:5) She is beautifully adorned with the righteous acts of the saints (Revelation 19:7-8)
5. The Bride of Christ To be adorned in righteous acts … She pursues righteousness (1 Timothy 6:11; 2 Timothy 2:22) She follows the instruction of Scripture to determine what is right! (2 Timothy 3:16) Simple acts and attitudes in our day to day lives adorn the bride (Titus 2:9-10) To fail to do right is like a bride forgetting her gown (Jeremiah 2:32)
6. The Bride Must Keep Her Gown Pure She strives to remain pure (2 Cor. 11:2)
7. The Bride of Christ She leaves her old life and family behind to follow, love and serve her husband (Psalm 45) This Psalm refers to Christ (45:6-7; Hebrews 1:8-9) The wedding of the Messiah is cause for rejoicing. Notice the description of the bride and the counsel given to her. A queen in gold and beautiful garments (45:9, 13, 14) She is to forget her own people and her father’s house (v. 10) The King will desire her beauty & she is to Worship the King (11:11)
