Cafeteria Renovations & Mechanical Upgrades at Eric Smith Middle School

The drab and outdated Middle School Cafeteria was in real need of renovation to make it a more enjoyable space for students. With the Band and Choral addition complete and now in use, we were able to make needed improvements to the cafeteria and stage. The stage was enlarged by reconfiguring the stairs and extending the stage area in the front and back where a new ramp was added to provide handicap access to the stage. Some Small Group Instruction (SGI) classrooms were converted from where the choral room was previously. The contemporary Wall Graphics enhance and envelope the space, creating a focal point for branding and building esprit de corps. Also part of the scope of this project was upgrades to the mechanical equipment serving the Cafeteria, Gym and 2nd floor classrooms.
