I recently bought a pair of these service boots -- the design is based on WW2 US army service shoes. They are made by Corcoran in the USA. The last used for these is the munson last used for all military shoes. Corcoran was a supplier to the US army during world war II and these are made to the exact specifications as back in the day. The size of these boots is 8D, but they are best suited for 8.5 feet (if you wear 8E these will be fine). They are 1/2 size small for me I've worn 2 times outside, but they show very little wear.
The boots are made of high quality chrome tanned russet shade calfskin leather. They are welted and they have a bellows tongue (so it won't slide around). The soles are leather with a thick rubber half-sole attached to them (as in original boots) and will last years and years. They are really well made and the best value for money in this price range. Note that these are meant to be worn with thick socks -- they are NOT dress shoes. They'll go great with jeans or khakis.
Price is $190 --> drop to $175 --> drop to 150 shipped (USA only). Please PM if you are interested.
