Season 11 of The Voice is undoubtedly going to be the most exciting yet, as it will bring two brand new coaches: Alicia Keys and Miley Cyrus. The two powerhouses will be joining Adam Levine and Blake Shelton as they search for fresh musical talent. In a trailer for the upcoming season, Miley and Alicia discuss why they're excited to be coming on board, and what they hope to bring to the series, which is back on September 19 at 8pm.
Alicia is looking forward to inspiring the contestants on the show and being a cheerleader for these new singers. She says, "One thing can either inspire a person or break a person. I'm looking forward to rooting people on and being here for the dreamers like me."
As for Miley, she's excited to be doing what she loves to do: making music. In the preview, she explains, "Everything that I like to do in my life has to be real — it has to be genuine. Sitting and watching people sing and helping people make music...it's what I would do every day."
Blake and Adam are also psyched to have Miley and Alicia as part of their team. Blake says, "I don't know that we've ever had a shake-up like this season." Adam adds that Miley is the youthful spirit that The Voice has been missing. Long story short? Get ready for some major girl power.
