Figure Skating

STAR 2

The STAR 2 session prepares skaters for their STAR 2 Skate Canada standardized tests - STAR 2 skills, freeskate, dance and synchro.
Group lesson format;

Lessons are given in group format. Skaters progress at their own pace and will participate in formal assessments when ready.

60 Minute Session

• 15 minute group warm up
• 2 x 15 minute group lessons focusing on 5 disciplines of figure skating (skills, freeskate, dance, artistic and synchronized skating).
• 15 minute practice time. Skaters will learn to practice independently.

Private Lessons

Private lessons are optional for STAR 2 skaters. Skaters may leave group lesson for 15 minutes only for private lesson. Private lessons are not included in the program fee. You must arrange private lessons directly with a Club Coach.

Eligibility

• STAR 2 skaters should be landing 3 single jumps consistently and must have passed all of the the following Skate Canada standardized tests:
• STAR 1 Skills;
• STAR 1 Freeskate; AND
• STAR 1 Dance Elements
