I live alone and don't use them as often as others do, they have dried out & there is half a plastic container left that I don't want to toss. Any ideas?

I just add enough water to get them wet again. I also put the whole pack in a gallon baggie. They last longer if you don’t use them regularly.

Do you add the water just on top or on the bottom of the container?

Add a little water to them - if using for baby distilled water is best.

Small amounts of water. It's what I have done and it worked great for me.

And to keep them from drying out, buy a travel size wipe container and fill it as your use from bin and put the remainder in two freezer bags with the zippers at opposite ends. I found that that worked quite well.

My hubby used them all the time for when his hands get dirty chaining down loads and nowhere to clean up is available. He added water to the container to rewet them. We usually got the big refills and they stayed good in the Ziploc bags they came in, so he wouldn't fill the container real full and he had less problem with them drying out. When my kids were little I always had a baggy of them in my purse and they stayed moist without a problem. I always had a problem with the plastic containers drying out, but not the ones I kept in Ziplocs.

I have put some water in the box of wipes and let it sit until the water is absorbed. You don't need much water. Make sure your wipes box is tightly closed.
