New Delhi: The BSE Sensex and Nifty50 saw a significant drop in trading on Wednesday. The BSE Sensex suffered a hefty decline of 1,152 points and fell below 73,000 points. Nifty50 also fell and fell below 22,000. It hit an intraday low of 21,906 points and fell 338 points to close just under 22,000 points.
The small-cap index was also affected by the crash, posting a sharp 5% decline. This was the most dismal performance since December 2022. Not only that, mid-cap stocks also fell by 3%. Microcap and small company stocks each suffered losses of about 5%. Although the stock market situation remained dire, some people chose to find humor in the situation.
