Ultrasonic welding is a method used by ADDEV Materials, which provides a durable bond between Nomex® by DuPont™ materials (Nomex® compressed board rod welded to Nomex® paper). It promotes a strong bond between materials and guarantees respect for the environment as the process requires no additives.
Ultrasonic welding involves locally heating the materials to be welded with a sonotrode using high-frequency vibrations. Welding is then ensured by the heat generated at the interface of the two parts.
Ultrasonic welding is used to create assemblies used in traction transformers.
