Caleb Clarke will earn his first test start on Sunday against the All Blacks after making a big impact off the bench on his debut in the 16 all draw in the first Bledisloe Cup test.
Clarke has been in incredible form this year with his eye-catching performances for the Blues leading to his maiden call up.
The youngster has continued on his rise and earned the praises of All Blacks back Beauden Barrett this week ahead of his first start.
“I’ve been so impressed by how he’s developed this year, coming from a fair bit of sevens and transitioning into starting every game for the Blues on the left.”
He’s so exciting to play with. He can run over, he can run around, he can also kick so he’s a triple threat for me.”
Barrett may have left out another key skill of the youngster after footage from the All Blacks captain's run saw Clarke throw a massive 50 or 60 metre NFL pass to Barrett.
