On Wednesday, March 6, the opening day of this year’s Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival, Epcot’s Mexico pavilion debuted a new show featuring perennial favorites, Mariachi Cobre.
Mariachi Cobre Presents The Story of Coco is a retelling of the story of 2017’s engaging film “Coco,” which follows a 12-year-old boy named Miguel as he is accidentally transported to the Land of the Dead, seeking his deceased great-great-grandfather.
The popular mariachi band, which has performed in Epcot since its opening day, performs highlights of the film’s most popular music alongside a duo of Folklórico dancers.
At the conclusion of the story, a hand-crafted puppet of Miguel himself appears as part of the celebration.
After the show, Miguel hangs around for a few minutes to meet and greet his many, many fans.

Is this program going to be there for the entire Flower and Garden show? We will be going the first weekend of June. My almost three-year old niece loves Coco and the music from the movie. She would love to see this program.
