the title pretty much explains this so there’s no need for me to go in depth on it too much. The way I’m ranking them is broken down into a few categories.
1. How fun the car is to drive
2. The experiences I had in said car
3. The things I’ve done to said car (I.E maintenance and modifications)
4. How I feel when I’m driving said car as in if I saw someone else in that car what would I think of them. Call me weird and insecure but I don’t want people thinking I’m a loser when im driving.
So let’s get into it
#4 1992 ford ranger
Look, something had to be last and this is simply the one that was the worst. Nothing was wrong or bad about the car yeah the clutch was a little sticky and down shifting was kinda rough but it’s a 30 year old work truck. It wasn’t fast or quick but it was a 30 year old 2.3 so once again what did you expect. It did what I needed it to do and that was be a fun little truck to zip around in while gas was expensive as all hell. I didn’t have many memories with this truck I took it up to lake texoma once with 2 dirt bikes in the back and would occasionally take it on some sharp backroads but it was simply just a daily. I didn’t modify it at all I wanted to lower it but people in hell want ice water and that doesn’t mean they’re gonna get any sooo… overall good truck strongly suggest getting one if you’re in the need of one.
#3 2005 Acura TL
once again nothing wrong with this car I just haven’t had it long enough to place it any higher. It’s a Honda so it’s reliable, I just did a muffler delete and I ordered lowering springs that’ll lower it 1.9 inches up front and 1.6 inches in the back so I’ve already done stuff for it.The car has some kick to it so you can zip around back roads and beat feet if need be. These cars are also in abundance so it’s not rare that’ll I’ll find myself cruising with a fellow TL. I mean shit just last night I was doing 110-120 mph with a fellow TL on an empty highway for a solid distance. However, this car being in abundance means that it’s regular traffic so I don’t feel special but it is what it is and it be what it be. I anticipate having this car until I go to my next command wherever that is and maybe longer if I don’t find an adequate replacement.
#2 1996 Ford Mustang GT
Simply put this is about as good of a car that your average 17 year old can get. I traded my ranger and 2 pairs of shoes for this and it was a damn good trade. Had plenty of memories with this thing even if i only had from like February to early June. Took it all the way down and back from Corpus Christi on spring break. Did doughnuts for the first time with it and engaged in some other nefarious activities while being behind the wheel. It sounded good, had a manual and though it looked kinda beat up it didn’t have any real gremlins or hiccups while I owned it. I actually want another SN95 in the future just because I love how they drive and feel, I’m sure the s197’s feel even better but I don’t care. Unfortunately however I did recently receive the news that this car was totaled in an accident by its new owner I didn’t get much details but based off the mustang stereotypes and that it was bought by a younger guy in the center of Dallas I’m sure we all know what more than likely occurred.
#1 1967 Ford Ranchero
I mean… duh? I’ve driven this car for over 2 years I’ve done damn near everything to it to bring it back from its glory days. All that’s left is a wrap or paint more than likely a wrap cause it’s cheaper, some body work, and some interior work which is just a dash pad and door panels. I’ve had all sorts of experiences with this car. Cruising with boomers, going to meets and sticking out as the only classic, scenic cruises, plenty of pictures, two breakups occurred in that bench seat from a ‘74 Torino. All the bad shit that’s happened I look back and laugh at I can go on and on. I fucking love this thing even when it gets slandered I don’t care. The driving experience is amazing the sound is immaculate, it’s pretty damn quick for what it is it pushes 330 horsepower so it’s not lacking in that category. Overall I just can’t complain. Even without a bumper and rustoleum patches it looks stunning.
so that’s my personal ranking if you disagree let me know I’m sure others here have driven similar cars anyways that’s it. Here’s to a future of Acura and Ranchero pictures!

I want a SN95 one day, though I'd get a New Edge. If I'm driving a 4.6, it's in that, not the early S197s. Is the TL manual? If not, that's about the only thing to worry about in that car. Auto Hondas from that era don't usually make it much further than 120,000 miles without a rebuild.
That’s fair I like both the early SN95s and the new edges if I can find a sn95 with a pushrod 5.0 for a reasonable price I’ll hop on it. And yes the TL is a automatic but it’s kicking ass at 187k miles rn so maybe I got a lucky one though I don’t wanna jinx it

I'd rather stay away from the old 5.0, don't wanna deal with the block splitting if I pull more power from it. Also just really like the sound of the 4.6.
Here's hoping that TL lasts, my mom's '00 Accord didn't make it to 123k before losing 2nd gear.
