Hello OPA! Madison here, and I kinda said I'd have some Dellinger pictures on here for Sunday. ((Because I thought the cosplay would be completed)). But it turns out it is not... (due to difficulties) but I don't break my promises. So here are some halfway there Dellinger pictures!
As for my issues go...
Problem #1.) I had recently commissioned a buddy to make a pattern for me to get custom printed onto a shirt. (As seen as the background image) But no local companies are willing to complete my request.... It left me heartbroken because I had only made one costume before (and believe it or not, it looks professional) but that is because I used someone else's sewing machine..... And I don't have my own. So I decided to buy a turtle neck and spray paint it myself. It turns out that the color wasn't very vibrant and didn't come out how I originally anticipated to be, so now I'll be painting it myself. So I apologize, in the following pictures I am simply wearing a turtle neck from my personal collection of them.
Problem #2.) The horns just won't dry. I used an air dry clay, but the heaviness only made them perfect as a base and not the actual horns I will be attaching to my hat. I have never made horns before for any sort of cosplay. So they're trash.
Problem #3.) I had a hard time finding the special high heels for this costume. I did end up finding a pair, but they aren't really accurate. Life sucks when you have the smallest shoe size they make for women. //sighs
Well. I hope you all enjoy these progress selfies I took. I'll be taking more completed pictures at Katsucon! So if you're going, I'll be at a one piece meetup at 5 PM! (Details are on facebook)
This cosplay still needs so much. It WILL be perfected and completed for Anime Boston in April, and I'll hopefully have someone make the top for me professionally. But for right now it is pretty damn rushed.
Some stuff I did and didn't take pictures for...
For the cap, I just bought a plain white one and colored it with a sharpie, and I'm really proud of it, yay!!
This was also my first time cutting and styling a wig! This wig looked like He Man when I bought it! Now it looks like our favorite Fish Boy! (-: (but as you can see, it won't stop shedding....)
But-
I'd love to go all out on this costume. For example, add the fin and do teeth. But that's a future possibility! It's just that I will be wearing a backpack (The world's first ever Katakuri Ita Bag!!!), and that just wouldn't work.
I hope you all enjoy my content! And remember that i'm not a professional cosplayer or anything. I simply do this for fun! :-D

Who is Dellinger?
Did you make it to dressrosa arc? I won't spoil if you're not. Let me be brief. He's short lived. He's a member of the DQ fam. He's the fighting Fishman human that wears high heels?
So cute! I have respect for people like you, who can cosplay this well!~

So Smol !! No prob
The lack of high heels is disturbing XD
I got a pair with a 4 inch heel actually. But I had issues finding them in smaller sizes with a larger incline.
Well done! We are doing a really big dressrosa cosplay group at San Japan this year! It would be cool if you were able to go!

That's like half way across the continent for me. )-: long way to go. Don't know anyone that goes. So nowhere to stay. Oof. I wish though. Dreaming.
