Here we go again with another tier list that will be covering the physical attackers of Yo-kai Watch 3! This might be one of my most controversial ones as I know that all of these Yo-kai can be used. I only picked 50 of them as well because there’s so many Yo-kai! If I missed one that you think should be on here let me know in the comments below!
Edit: After posting this I realized I missed Snartle. (Oof) I’ll probably put him in A tier.
This is what I’ll be looking for:
• Their Strength stat.
• Either their Speed stat or their HP/ Defense stat.
• Can they survive a hit if put in a tough situation.
• Their actual move on which they use to attack.
• Their Soultimate.
E Tier:
Zerberker- His ability means he can decide to randomly attack your allies and there are better options to run. I won’t recommend using him.
Tut ‘n’ K’mon- Has a really high attack stat as well as speed. However, he has the worst skill in the game as he’ll “leave” mid battle whenever he feels like it and you can’t get him back through reviving. If you can find a way to use him please tell me.
D Tier:
Sigh Durr- This Yo-kai is actually really offensive and can deal significant damage because his move (bowshot) has a high chance to crit. However he’s extremely frail and it’s his soultimate that puts him at such a low tier as it’s a 50/50 to actually do damage to the opponent or himself.
Blazion/Quaken- Their ability is good as when your wall goes down you can get a boost in stats. However, their soultimates uses spirit and they have mixed offenses. I know what they were going for here but I wish they just settled on one stat.
Usapyon- Usapyon is a Yo-kai I love but looking at him from a critical perspective he’s a bit mediocre. Invader Mode gives him the needed stat boosts and lowers his move timer, but for you to benefit from that he has to be on low health. You can have hold a 1 hp soul to guarantee he survives, but he won’t be able to benefit from his unique items. Useable but a bit subpar.
Sushiyama- This is a Yo-kai that I have tried and regretted using. Guard break is amazing but he has low strength to deal big damage and has a move that makes him miss more. A pretty mediocre attacker.
Slugger- For being one of the few Brave ‘Merican Yo-kai I had high expectations but was gravely disappointed. Big hitter is a great skill but the issue is that Slugger has a mediocre attack stat and a soultimate with limited range.
Time Keeler- Has decent stats with a decent ability in Skilled Loafer for when he does loaf he’ll heal a chunk of hp. It’s situational as you don’t want to loaf ever. He’s pretty average despite that. Not great but not terrible.
Unbeariboy/Inflammaboy- These guys are fast hitters with a great Soultimate that creates hazards on the board. However, Inflammaboy’s ability will almost never get put to use because he’ll hardly survive while Unbearaboy’s will guarantee him one big hit for his first strike. Ok, but there’s better options.
Hardy Hound- A slow heavy hitter that allows him to get a heavy hit the first turn he attacks. What sets him apart from everyone else is his soultimate that hits the back two rows and can be paired with other hitters to bait foes. His speed and unusually high guard rate is what sets him back in my opinion.
C Tier:
D Stroy/ Clodzilla- If it wasn’t for Dasocks these guys would probably be my favorite ‘Merican Yo-kai. Their ability in Roar Power is good for breaking up team formations and have a good attack stat in general. However, they’re slow so they’ll hardly get a hit in unless you have multiple of them and their soultimate (which targets and scatters everyone which is good) is based on their Spirit stat which means they can’t put that great strength to use.
Kapunki- A better Sushiyama with a higher attack stat and ability that extends his longevity. However he’s bound to miss more often and needs a little more speed.
Slumberhog- Great attack and can hold two items, but has an absolutely useless skill. He’s pretty much used to revenge kill the opponent and depending on who defeats him can take someone down with him. Soultimate can deal great damage but the skill and speed hold him back.
Zomboy- A decent fighter with a good skill in Big Hitter and can lower the defenses of an opponent for either the next team member or for him to strike again. He’s Eerie though so he can’t help add to the strength bonus.
Ed Zoff- This is a favorite for many but after using him I have to say he’s decent than the lower tiers but he needs good support to be useful. Eye on the Prize is unique, but you need to have proper set up to actually benefit from it.
Rampajah- Has decent stats and has an interesting ability that deals damage to the same kind of Yo-kai. (Think Slimamander but it has to be the same Yo-kai) This is a niche skill as most people don’t run the same Yo-kai and even if they do it splits the damage like Slimamander. I can see him being used in a Sighborg Y team.
Showbonyan- Has good strength and is obviously meant to be a tank. His skill is more defensive but his stats say otherwise. (If they switched his ability with Robonyan F than he might be higher) Show Biz Bang is a hard hitting soultimate but it takes him out. Needs a lot of support to be good.
Reuknight/ Corptain- Their ability is defensive in Spirit Guard, but they are pretty offensive. Being a part of the Brave Tribe is always a plus, but their limited soultimate range and their speed severely hold them back.
Siro- This is probably the only Yo-kai in this list who doesn’t have an offensive Soultimate that is on this list. He has a good strength stat, and has a skill that boost his offenses if his allies go down. Again, it’s his soultimate (While nice) and his speed that hold him back. A better Blazion.
Demuncher/ Devourer- These two are different as Demuncher has greater strength while Devourer is more mixed. However, they’re both slow heavy hitters with a skill that does heal them when they get a knockout. This might extend their longevity but they’re so slow that another member might get the KO or they’ll get knocked out before it happens.
Nunchucky- He’s a fast hitter but I don’t see his skill being that useful. I know it resets the move timer of the foe he hits but unlike Infinte Enma that does it by two, he only does it by one, which will just be gone in the next turn. This is so insignificant that it’s like he doesn’t have an ability.
Minimoto- A fast Yo-kai with In A Flash can get a hit in. His attack stat does need a little buffing but is overall a nice little guy to help rack up damage. His wait time is one which is also pretty great.
Rubeus J- His attack is great and is pretty fast but just lacks the overall oomph factor. His skill is great if he decides to attack, but will sometimes inspirit a little too much for my liking.
B Tier:
Arachnevil- Here’s a heavy hitter that gains massive offensive boosts if on low hp. But for you to benefit from that you need to ensure that he can live so people usually run a 1 hp Soul which can be countered by specific Yo-kai. He’s especially good if you can get the boosts.
El Gutso/ Gutso Grande- Their skill makes it so they do more damage to S rank enemies which I do see as being useful as almost everyone uses the two maximum S ranks. And if the opponent invests in a good wall like El Sharkador or Kyubot this can be useful. But again some players might invest their S ranks in offense so it’s a situational skill.
Liarbird- Dodge ensures Liarbird won’t get hit by soultimates and means the opponent won’t be able to bypass your walls. However he has below average attack and mediocre speed. A Yo-kai that can survive the whole match and constantly damage the enemy.
Cruncha/ Beetall- Their skill is good as it prevents loafing but it also works for the opponent too. Good soultimate and stats. Overall a good Yo-kai, but doesn’t heavily apply pressure to the opponent.
Lappinitup- Being able to attract all positive Inspirits to him is really good for disrupting the enemies strategy if they plan on setting up. Good strength stat and Brave tribe add to his usefulness too. However, his soultimate has limited range and he can’t take a hit.
Snortlehog- A beefy Yo-kai with a great offensive ability in extreme critical. Besides his speed which is counteracted with his decent hp and defense, there’s nothing negative I have to say about this guy. Just your typical slow heavy hitter.
Brutle- A Yo-kai with arguably one of the highest attack stat in the game. His ability is useful in some situations, as it can be used to go around stealth users but he can also attack members of your team. His soultimate is amazing as it does good damage while also creating hazards on the board. A fine example of a double edged sword.
City Licker- A slow heavy hitter with a unique ability that fully heals himself and gains an ultra stat boost when he gets his soultimate off. Even if you miss your move he still gets the boost so it’s always good to pop it off right away. However, he’s still pretty slow and has a strangely high chance to guard.
Deadcool- Deadcool is fast, has decent attack and has a skill that has a chance to take away an opponent’s item. This can be good for removing a wall’s shielding soul or other item that can be used. Also being able to hold two items means you can invest them in survivability (peerless, 1hp) or offense (Ake Soul, red Rush) or anything else which makes him versatile. He’s honestly better than I expected him to be.
Gargaros- I feel like he’s been greatly nerfed in this game as he still has Guard Break, but doesn’t do the damage he used to. He’s a little on the frail side despite being in the Tough tribe. Good, but needs a little push for him to be a huge threat.
Illuminoct- He’s fast and has decent strength, but is super frail and has a useable spirit stat and high I find odd. His skill is more supportive which I holds him back from a higher tier because it fails to put on heavy offensive pressure.
Columbakat- This is my favorite of the pioneer Yo-kai and his skill is supportive in providing a speed boost to allies he’s linked to. What makes him stand out in my opinion is his soultimate as it’s one of the few that does the cross range that ISN’T an explosion which is much appreciated. However, despite the little speed boost he fails to apply heavy pressure. Good but needs support to extend him further.
A Tier:
Venoct- In the first game he was a spirit user but now he’s physical and can now benefit from his soultimate. He’s pretty fast, has a useable attack stat and a really good ability that charges his soultimate faster. His wait time is pretty fast too, so you could slap a charge soul and constantly move to get your soultimate on before the enemy.
Count Cavity- This is a Yo-kai I don’t see many people use often but he’s actually pretty good. He has the same ability as Shogunyan and can be a good member on crit teams. His soultimate is also different from most as it targets the back two rows and Inspirits the opponent as well. However, he’s frail and is a part of the shady tribe meaning he won’t contribute to a strength bonus.
Lie In Heart- This is a Yo-kai with really good stats with a terrible ability. But he can also hold two items which makes him a perfect revenge killer. This is the only way to effectively use him because as soon as he dies he’s almost guaranteed to take someone down with him.
Kintaronyan- Extreme Critical is a really good ability as it deals massive damage to the opponent if you land a critical hit. Kintaronyan is a part of the tough tribe, so he could provide unity with your walls to provide a little survivability. He’s a little slow and his main attack, Fullswing, is more likely to miss which is not good. He can actually tank a Crummy Mummy hit (badly) and his defense and attack are so close to one another that he won’t get nerfed by Koalanyan. Overall an amazing fighter.
Enma Awoken- I know what some of you are thinking; why isn’t this guy S Tier? While he does have two great abilities, Awakening provide godly boosts if he survives a couple of rounds and the Enma Blade means he gets a huge strength boost if in the front row. While Enma Blade is a great ability there is some huge problems I have with it. For him to have this great ability and use it he needs to have the Enma Blade equipped and be in the front row, meaning he can’t run anything else like the stealth soul to protect him. This means he’s at the mercy of the enemies offense and as great as he is, Enma ain’t gonna live long. His offense is probably one of the greatest in the game but is bound by those limitations that prevent him from being S Tier.
Shogunyan- In Yo-kai Watch 2 this was the main threat that everyone had to look out for. But now he’s been nerfed and is still an effective fighter on crit teams. This is a Yo-kai that with simple setup can turn into a great force very quickly. However he’s frail as ever so he needs to be protected at all costs.
Tanbo- A Yo-kai with a high chance to crit and blessed with two item slots is no doubt useful and very versatile. You can be as creative as you want with this guy and you can shape him whatever would fit your team.
Jibanyan S- Has a high chance to crit, has decent strength and is fast as well. Frail as ever but if you take the risk you’ll be rewarded.
Bishamonten- The reason this guy is a high tier is because he’s a good check to Solar Enma. His skill makes him immune to fire techniques and raises his strength instead. (Kinda like Storm Drain for you Pokémon battlers) He has a great attack stat, has a decent soultimate and is slow but can take a hit well. A good fighter.
Asura- Has high attack, soultimate has good range and has a skill that does more damage to opponents on low health to ensure that they get KO’d. I think if he’s paired up with Yo-kai that secure KOs he can be a great force to be reckoned with.
S Tier:
Shurikenny- Now this is a Yo-kai I feel is extremely underrated, as he has a high attack stat as well as speed, has an ability that can bypass walls (though it’s more chip), is brave to add to the unity, and has a soultimate you can modify to hit everyone.
Ancient Enma- Obviously the Yo-kai with the highest strength stat in the game with an ability that KOs enemies with low health is going to be S Tier. He’s slow but has good HP and defense to take hits. If you want big damage this is your guy.
Righteous Zazel- Godspeed is a fantastic ability that always ensures that Zazel will get a critical hit. (Bypassing even the slick soul!) He’s best utilized very late game as he can pick off weakened foes as any potential peerless souls will be burnt out by then. He’s bound to KO a Yo-kai or at least heavily weaken one.
Slurpent- One of the few Yo-kai who isn’t Brave in this tier. His ability is just like Guard Break and he does significant damage with his decently high strength.
Umbral Enma- This guy has great stats, an ability that boosts his offenses for any knockout in general, and with a soultimate that automatically KOs foes (unless they’re holding Peerless or 1 hp) he’s definitely a top tier threat many teams should look out for.
Gleam- With light speed and a great strength stat Gleam will be doing big damage, punching holes through the walls he crits, which can be boosted further with the Ake Soul. He’s frail but can take one hit. A fine example of good offense.
El Dorago- Having his own special skill that makes it so he’ll always hit as well as ignoring an opponent’s guard is really good. He’s brave so can he be paired with others for the strength bonus. The only downside is that he has an abnormally higher chance to use his technique than most physical attackers. However, damage is damage and overall a top tier threat.

I became one of the most angriest players on the amino (temporarily) when i found out about tut n kmons effect, bad news suits him and his tier spot...
I’m sorry Tut ‘n’ K’mon was in a low tier as he has such a cool design. However, if you want an in depth analysis about his skill you can check out Silvesary’s post about him here! It’s quite an interesting read!

I’m flattered, but I’m not that good a battler! :joy:

Uh i think i just trying out my new team i'm not using my serious team and maybe you can show your's because i want to know about good strategy so i can make new team.
Ohhh I already liked El Doragon's style but sadly don't have one yet...
Sigh-Dur makes perfect sense for the D-tier since he really doesn’t have a big amount of damage output even with crits along with not being able to take many hits(rank e Yokai then again), and a virtually useless soultimate unless you really want to risk sigh-durr for chip damage in my opinion, but I still do my best to use him on my team and he’s pretty amazing if you rank him up a bit! I just have such love for the lil guy! Also Brutle is definitely a good Yokai but his skill can be a big hinderance to your team if your opponent abuses his placement, so B tier is absolutely deserved there! I will always find it funny that I never noticed Brutle could attack their own teammates since I always kept mine up front in the lead at all times!
Just seeing a bunch of Yokai on this list in different tiers makes me want to put together all sorts of different teams! Especially with the lower tier Yokai, I’d love to make more teams with them in mind!
Tut ‘n’ K’mon would be an absolute challenge to work with though, even I don’t know how to work with him... I do have a friend who we did friendly battles with use theirs in battle, and within 5 turns he just kinda. Booked it. So I really want to look into a strategy for him!
Thank you for reading it!!Yeah, Tut ‘n’ K’mon will be a huge feat to make work. Also, I’ve actually made a team with Sigh-Durr after seeing your Can-Dii post a long time ago.
