Alpha and omega

Today I'm gonna talk about a real guilty pleasure of mine. Aah Alpha and omega... What a mess...but a mess that I and surprisingly many others like.

Let's start with the basics: in a wolf pack there's Alpha wolves and omega wolves (even though in reality there's also beta and only one or two alpha wolves) The alpha wolves take care of most of the hunt and the omegas just likes to have fun and are the "peace makers" of the pack and even though they don't mention beta wolves in the movie I'm just gonna pretend like there is beta wolves to. (Beta wolves is just "normal" wolves) however Alpha wolves and omega wolves are absolutely not aloud to mate.

Story:the wolves of Jasper park is starving and their plan is to combine two of the wolf packs in Jasper park, how? Well The ledares kids Kate and Garth are suposed to get married.But at the moonlight howl Kate and a omega wolf named Humphrey get taken by humans to Idaho to repopulate. Now Kate and Humphrey need to get home befor a war breaks out between the two wolf packs.

Meanwhile Garth and Kate's little sister Lilly bound and starts falling in love...the only problem is that Lilly is an omega and Garth an alpha. Slowly Kate and Humphrey start developing the same problem and falling in love.

Characters:

Kate is a brave and beautiful alpha wolf that really just want to do what's best for the pack even if that means marrying a wolf she doesn't know.

Humphrey is a smart and funny Alpha that just like to have fun and have a big crush on Kate.

Garth is an alpha and the son of Tony (the leader of the eastern pack) he is very strong and fit and sometimes he come of a little...dumb. But he is a really nice guy,He is also ready to do what's best for the packs but his biggest weakens is that he is like the worst howler ever...and for the wolves the howl is a pretty big deal, I think it's the way that they normally chose a mate.

Lilly is the younger sister of Kate and she's really shy but nice. She is ready to teach Garth how to howl even if that means that he can marry Kate and not her. also she is really cute and my favorite

Animation: well I actually really liked the design of the wolves but the animation feels more like something from a TV show, though in some scenes it looks like something from a Disney movie!! But only in some few scenes.

Soundtrack:well i won't complain about this part, though the most music is just howling, it's truly beautiful, there's this scene where Kate and Humphrey is on a train ad howls to the moon while the Wolves at home gets ready for war and the howling is just so beautiful.

Problems:The biggest problem with the movie is probably that it is a little messy. First it's the "Romeo and Juliet plot" and then the "getting back home" plot and then back to Romeo and Juliet. The movie also focus on the wrong plot, let me explain. The main plot is about Kate and Humphrey getting back home and falling in love, and honestly it's not THAT interest. We have seen this plot many times before, we've seen this characters and this love before.

The subplot however is about Lilly and Garth is MUCH better!! Their love feels much less forced cuss unlike Kate and Humphrey they don't NEED to relay one each other. They just spend time together because they want to, I really do believe that these two are in love.

Sequels: honestly all the sequels are awful, my tip is to avoid them, it's mostly about their pups that really just look like REALLY ugly corgis.

Final thoughts: Alpha and omega is a movie with a lot of good ideas but also a lot of missed potential. With just a little better animation and more focus on the subplot this could have been a great movie. I can't say that this movie is good,bad or even just meh. It's a great guilty pleasure movie. Is it good? Not really. Dose it feel good watching it? Absolutely!

Some of you will love it and maybe even join the "fandom", some of you will hate it and others will just be bored. Try watching this scene (it's one of my favorites) if you like it then go and watch the movie!!
