Backpacking game changer!
5 out of 5 stars
Backpacking game changer!
I just returned from a 10 day section hike on the PCT in Washington. I was extremely impressed with how easy, fast and convenient the jet boil was to use. I saved so much cooking time, ultimately saving fuel. I was eating in under 5 minutes most meals. Very happy camper!

I have owned this unit for about 10 months now. Taken it camping a few times, and use it in my van (I live full-time in the van) when I do not have shore power. Probably used it about 20 times. This thing does boil a full 'flask' of water in < 90 seconds. The neoprene sleeve makes using that boiled water a easy thing.

My ignitor button went on it today (the whole button assembly pushed into the housing). Since these are not cheap, I was thinking of what I was going to try replace it with.

Thankfully, I had bought it on Amazon, so I was able to find the order and noticed that it was only 10 months old. Went onto the jetboil site and saw that it had a 1 year warrantee. I generally despise having to deal with customer service and warrantees.....a begrudgingly called their customer service. The process COULD NOT HAVE BEEN HANDLED BETTER. I was VERY pleasantly surprised by how easy and non-confrontational they were and, although currently out of stock, will be sending me a new burner unit as soon as they are restocked.

SO, 5 stars for the product since it does EXACTLY what it is supposed to do, and 10Stars for their customer service!

Item is extremely easy to use but also not as tough as you may think. I typically do light backpacking but not ultra light by any means. I found this item to be extremely useful but if backpacking with friends having one is all you need. Also make sure to have water or food you intend on cooking inside while the burner is on. I burned my original jetboil flash not using it properly during an elk hunt and had to rely on a sawer filter and aqua tabs to keep my water clean. I would recommend this item to anyone who is an avid backpacker. There are also cheaper options on the market but I will say Jetboil is worth the cost.

This stove is fantastic! I have wanted one for years but never bought due to the high price. Well I finally pulled the trigger and and am not disappointed - this is a well thought out and constructed piece of gear that is worth every penny. Easy to assemble and use, boils water incredibly fast. BTW, don't buy your fuel canisters through Amazon - they are more than 3 times the price here than at your local sporting goods store - the hazmat shipping designation drives up the price to accommodate the "free" Prime shipping.

Used on several hiking trips now and it is awesome. I hesitated purchasing this kit for about a month. I have a coleman burner that works great, but the way this Jetboil is a complete system all contained in one small and light unit is what did it for me. Not to mention it boils water faster than the gas stove in my home. Boils water unbelievably fast. Just recently used it on a hiking trip with my daughter, son, and son's friend. Deep into the hike they were all hungry. Withing m10 minutes they had a hot meal. It was a windy day as well, but that didn't bother the Jetboil. Can't go wrong with this purchase.

I absolutely LOVE this! I take this with me fishing, hunting, backpacking, hiking. This is a life saver. All components conveniently fit inside of it except the fuel. It literally boils water in 1 minute! I use it to make coffee, cup o noodles, MREs, hot cocoa. Another great thing is Walmart carries the fuel for this. I recommend the accessory that supports the use of a frying pan or soup pot. That also folds down and stores inside of the jetboil. I’ve fried bacon and eggs lakeside while fishing with this, it’s awesome! I can not recommend this enough, I bought the Jetboil Flash which is perfect for me. My cousin owns the Jetboil sumo, it is very nice however it’s too big for a single person and obviously takes up more room in the pack.

Works well. Heats water very quickly. Compact and lightweight since you can fit a small fuel container in sight the cooking pot along with the burner and base. The only con is that the built in lighter/igniter is unless. I clicked it 7-8 times with plenty of fuel going through and it wouldn’t light. Had to grab a lighter so be sure to bring one on your trips.

We love our jetboil. We’ve used it when we summited Mt. Adam’s, we’ve used it for day and overnight hiking. We’ve used it on hunting trips. It’s an absolute necessity. We use ours to make coffee, boil water for oatmeal or dehydrated food packs (biscuits and gravy is the best!), etc.

It’s super easy to put together, and to pack in a backpack. The fuel is affordable and can be found at big stores like Walmart or Cabelas.

I went on a paddle trip and purchased this to go with me. It is super light weight and does not take up a lot of room. It boils water in a flash and was great for coffee/tea as well as rehydrating my food. Once boiled the water stays hot for quite a long time and the side indicator was great. This is a must purchase for anyone going on hiking, padding or any type of camping trip. Well worth the money. I should have purchased one sooner and now I will never go anywhere without it again.

I solo camp in the Yukon, Alaska, Northern Bc. I bought this to make coffee with lugging around my whole Coleman stove. Works great this whole season while I was ice fishing. Only complaints is the name brand fuel is stupid expensive but canadiantire has you covered fir waaaay cheaper. If you want to use a small pot or pan you need to buy a plate for it. Would recommend.

Really happy with this little stove. A little pricey, but when you are in the back country, weight, size and efficiency are important . This thing meets the challenge.

A little quality issue, send from us, I’ll take it.
I got some touch up paint in stock, or maybe just leave it, less chance for aluminium panel to getting rusty right?
Also my old one makes me feel better quality, even just a thicker lid(blue one in photo)
After all, we don’t have much more compact choices, like jet boil offered, fast boiling water, easy way to get some coffee etc.
