My kids love Bill, their Lazy Gnome. He sat on our fire place, and moved a tiny bit every night (thanks to my husband). They truly enjoyed having him here this year, and insisted on reading the book over and over. I had Covid over Christmas, and I think Bill kept their spirits up while I couldn't be here. I loved the way he has the weighted beads that make him stand- he is extremely sturdy and we had no issues with him falling over. I read some reviews complaining that he was too small, but he fit perfectly on the fireplace mantel, any larger and we would have had an issue with where to place him. Our only complaint was the wire in the hat, it was difficult to figure out how to bend it to have it look just right. The gnome will be back next year, and even when the kids stop believing we will bring him back as a decoration.

My oldest is 14 and I swore I’d never ever do an Elf and all the chaos and work that goes into them, I'm just that mom who has too much in her plate as it is and adding 1 more thing to do every day is just daunting. But you know how it is when your babies are sad that everyone else is looking forward to something that they’re not gonna have/do, and you start to feel just a little guilty for being “lazy” so I was hunting on November 30th for a creepy little elf, but they’re sold out everywhere!! I told my oldest I should just do “Gnome in our Home” and while searching for a new magical gnome I stumbled across this listing!! Absolutely genius! I paid the extra 3$ to have it delivered the same day and my kids woke up today so surprised!! They love “Peter Gnome” and this “lazy mom” couldn’t be more happy to have found other parents like her!

This is our second year with "Norman" our lazy gnome. The kids love him and I love him even more. He keeps the holiday magic without the worry of moving him around. He shows up at our house when the tree goes up. He brings his book with him to remind the kids all the details. They give him a hug and then we place him next to the tree. Done. Perfect. Love him!

Oh my. Let me tell you. Not having to move those elves every night was so nice. Told our children that due to COVID the Elves couldn’t go back and forth from there other parents house without constant quarantining. (We are a blended family with kids going back to two different other households.) We explained that to alleviate this issue Santa sent a new helper. Kauku (it’s a Finnish name) will stay here so the Elves could safely stay in the other home without constant quarantine. So in short. Kauku just sits in front of the tv all day everyday and my ex and my girlfriends ex get to move those pesky elves around every night the kids are with them. Worth every penny and like gnomes more the elves anyway.
