The rebel popper is truly the best popper on the market. I prefer the magnum model, longer than the Pop'r lure at 3" rather than 2". The magnum can be cast longer distances and disturbs more water than its smaller brother, the Pop'R.
I fish numerous times each week for largemouth bass and northern pike. The magnum catches fish, period.
There can be one difficulty. I use a steel leader to avoid bite-offs by hungry pike. The lure head is concave, and it can be a chore to easily attach the popper to this leader. But the concavity makes this lure deadly, and I hope Rebel never changes the design. Simply put, it is flat out the best popper in results than you can put into your tackle box.
