Here's what I love about it:
It's simple in design, yet provides everything I need for dry, medium, and EXTRA wet reverb in one pedal, with no frills or gimmicks.
The build is solid, the connections are solid, and the controls are smooth. The on/off switch is also quieter than some units in my pedalboard array. No big "CLACK", but it also has a tactile feel under my foot.
The ring light LED around the main switch is a really nice touch, and so are the LEDs on the Decay and Level knobs. I can see where the control levels are set when in low lighting, and I really appreciate that feature.
As far as "true bypass", I can't attest to that as a feature (it's not stated in the listing), but I found no degradation of signal (or boost of signal) when cycling the power on and off.
Sound Quality: I love the articulation and clarity of this one. A lot of reverb pedals tend to lose definition and turn things into a big blur when maxed out. This one has superb presence across the spectrum, and even has a bit of 'snap' to it, almost like a slightly compressed/sustained signal.
The effect isn't overpowering and 'lost in the ether', even when it's at maximum Decay and Level. The reverb is there, and yes, it's super-WET when needed, but I don't really notice its depth until I mute my strings and give them a good swipe. It's a joy to play, and its sound just adds some great tonality and presence to my playing. It's a pleasure rather than a distraction.
This is also a very versatile pedal. I play a little of everything: fingerstyle jazz, rockabilly, punk, metal, fusion, blues, ambient, etc. and this fits my needs for just about everything. Despite it looking like a 'one-trick pony' with two knob simplicity, it has great range and dynamics.
Final Thoughts and Notes: The demo video was shot using my iPad's internal mics at 12" away from the amp. The amplifier I used was set with a flat EQ, with no effects, and at a reasonably low volume and gain. I used that setup so that my narration wasn't overpowered. However, when I jacked this pedal into my big tube amp and cranked the volume, it sounded ten times better than demo vid. It won't replace a plate or hall reverb like my TC Hall of Fame II, but I rarely use those patches. There's a use for those sounds for deep ambient stuff, but for 95% of my needs, this pedal provides everything I want (and need) without a lot of distraction or stooping over to experiment with controls.
It just sounds great, and I'm really pleased with the quality and performance of this one. The only minor issue I have with the pedal is the lack of footing, i.e., no rubber feet or padding to keep it from slipping on smooth surfaces. However, it's getting attached to my pedalboard with velcro, so that's not a big detractor for me, and certainly not even worth subtracting one-tenth of a star from its rating. Overall, this one is a true winner, and I think it's more than affordably priced for this level of quality sound and enjoyment.
