    We grew up in a loving home, filled with chaos, laughter and of course, good food. It’s the food, and the rituals surrounding that food, that inspired us nearly twenty years ago to create a space for all our family’s favorite recipes. And thus, Favorite Family Recipes was born. It’s been an incredible joy to share our family’s recipes with our readers.

    We know that cooking for others is one of the greatest gifts you can give them. The time you invest in shopping, prep, cooking and cleanup is a lot, but it’s worth it. Delicious, homemade food is what brings everyone to the table for Sunday dinner, a weekend brunch, or a slice of pie on the front porch. These are the meaningful memories we strive to create with our own families and friends. We hope our recipes will inspire others to create the same experiences with their loved ones.

I have many copycat cookbooks and I was excited to get this one. It’s not bad but it’s definitely skewed towards the authors four or five favorite restaurants and heavy on copies of Disney parks restaurant's. Also the types of dishes are relatively the same. Just overall kind of boring. A lot of the recipes use canned or prepared items pretty frequently which I’m not against however, when you’re naming specific brands of prepared items that more than likely the restaurant doesn’t use are you truly getting the authentic flavor? Is this a copycat cookbook or a marketing ploy for certain major brands? Hmmmm…

    I was excited to try copy cat recipes for some of my favorite things from popular restaurants. It contains favorite recipes from places like Applebees, Café Rio, Café Zupas, Chili’s, Chipotle, Chick fil a, Costa Vida, Disneyland, Dutch Bros, IHOP, KFC, Marie Callender’s, Noodles and Company, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Olive Garden, Panda Express, Red Robin, and Starbucks. I liked that the book was well organized. The recipes easy to follow. I liked that most of the recipes were things a wide range of people would like.
