Editorial Reviews
Review
"This book is fantastically approachable and will leave you guessing right up until the very last sentence." -- Kara Dennison
"Thomas Parrott does a fantastic job at of making the world his own and has absolutely nailed the action in this suspenseful instalment. Our characters are cut throat when they need to be and yet deep down are still humans, flawed and messy with complex emotions." -- Mrs Viking Reads
"If you love the Division games or a brilliant action novel this is the one for you after you have read the first one, Recruited." -- What You Tolkien About

- Reviewed in the United States on February 19, 2023A really great book. I am a huge fan of The Division and this book does it justice. If you haven't played the games you are probably missing some things when you read this series, but I doubt people who haven't been immersed in the franchise already are picking up this book. The book stays action packed throughout. At a certain point all I wanted was for the characters to get a break! Highly recommend for any fans of The Division!
- Reviewed in the United States on July 2, 2023I am totally invested in this series. Through his novel, Thomas Parrott has created characters in the world of The Division that I’ve come to care about. I look forward to future stories and where the quartet will end up!
- Reviewed in the United States on February 18, 2023So far my favorite of the Division novels. Anything Division related is welcome by me, so perhaps not the best one to ask.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 29, 2023Amazing book with a great story progression and plenty of action. Can’t wait to read the next book in the series
- Reviewed in the United States on September 21, 2023Thomas Parrot novels are a good read for any Division fans
- Reviewed in the United States on February 19, 2025The writing truly is bad. He holds your hand and leads you through what should be normal conversations between adults and makes them feel like an alien wrote them - an alien who has been studying human idioms and basic interaction and wants to demonstrate their new "understanding" of our species by writing a "human adventure." I don't think constant smug lil cutsey humor will be the main vibe EVERYONE gives off right after society collapses. He lets you infer nothing. Subtext? HA! We don't learn subtext until highschool, slow your roll and enjoy 5th grade while you still can.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 18, 2023I like how it's canon to the world of the Division..., and if you've played the games it ties directly into the world
- Reviewed in the United States on July 11, 2023A wonderful novel that expands the scope and lore of the Tom Clancy's The Division universe.
A newly recruited Division agent rides the perilous train of command, the drastically changed world and the strange, angry and frantic people in it.
How do you find order in a world pushed over the brink of collapse? Find out.
