These Are My Balls
5 out of 5 stars
These Are My Balls
Best ball for me. My driver head speed averages 110mph and my irons average 95. These are a 60 compression ball. I hit these balls roughly 15 yards further than a 90 or above compression ball. Spin rate is good and has helped to alleviate my subtle slice. I see these the best out of all other colors. I also really like the Q-Star.

These are not for golfers who swing more than 100mph. But for those of us with a slower swing speed these balls are just great! The compression is 60. They are firmer than the 2021 Callaway Supersoft - which is at around 39, yet still feel buttery off the tee and my irons really bite well. I have the matte orange balls. They are not as glossy smooth as the white and yellow versions. The texture is more of a smooth rubbery feel. I actually prefer that and believe my clubs connect with the softness better. I have had no trouble seeing the balls in flight and on the fairway. Any ball is difficult to find in the rough, but the orange does stand out better imo. For just over 20 for a dozen they are VERY well worth it - give 'em a try.

All in all, for a cheap golf ball it performs actually decent. No - do not believe the silly ppl saying they are as good as a proV1. That’s ludicrous. They aren’t even better than a Callaway super soft.

However they are playable and they do feel nice off the putter. You aren’t getting 12 balls that are all uniform tho. That’s the downside to inexpensive balls. Some may not be as round or the covers as durable. Which brings me to the scuffing.

They scuff easily so you may go thru them faster which then means maybe you aren’t saving that much. YMMV. I went thru 3 balls in one round (2 scuffed from the driver and 1 wasn’t uniform (see below) so after 18 holes I was left with 9 balls lol. I would play a scuffed urethane ball if it’s not too bad. I’d never play a scuffed cheap cover. Not a chance.

Also about uniformity I had one that would go straight push every time. It clearly wasn’t the same quality as some of the others in the box. Replaced that one and the issue went away. But what happens when I replace the good one ? I may be OB. So not very trust worthy quality control. Again - casual golfers probably wouldn’t care. But maybe they should ?

Softer golf balls as a whole are not the greatest and no they don’t go further than premium golf balls. Soft = slow. Slow ball speed. About the only way possible they go further is if you swing 70-75 MPH. Read about it on MyGolfSpy. It’s proven in tests.

I think these are best suited for beginners, older folks who lost a lot swing speed or for winter golf.

I got them just because I like to try out balls I’ve never hit before.

I’ll stick with my ProV1 and Maxfli Tours.

I’m 52 with a 92 mph driver swing. These were shorter than my Maxfli tour urethanes but I didn’t test them against the PV1.

But in no fantasy world are they even close to either the Maxfli or Pv1

I cringe every time someone tries to make an absurd claim like that. If you’re a casual once in awhile golfer - they are fine.

If you play 2-3x a week and think these rival a tour urethane ball, I think maybe you’ve lost your marbles.

As a older, mid 60's, female who still shoots par golf and still driving average 230-250 yards I play with these and srixon qstar divide yellow and blue

Don't have the fastest swing speed or slowest

others I have given these to have bought them as well

durability is fantastic as I am usually hitting them true

I don't wear glasses to play yet even though I should but I can see either of these even if playing alone and especially with blue sky background or cloudy days.

Super easy to spot on course and deep rough.

Have tried too many other colors to admit and just finally happy to find what I can see and play very well with

Am a Srixon girl but have tried other brands that just don't fit my swing

Flight and control are superb and they putt true if I read it right lol

Play your heart out, have fun and embrace the suck, you're playing golf and that's luck!

5.0 out of 5 stars What a great ball!
Reviewed in Canada on June 15, 2023

Im new to golf, about a year in and i tried callaway balls, Bridgestone balls, and Noodles, and these Srixons have been the best so far.

    The pricing is remarkable.

The durability is actually very very good. It is the MAIN thing i look for in a golf ball next to green interaction and the durability is awesome. I played 15holes with a ball before losing it (Operator Error not the balls fault) and the cover was still brand new. Some grass stains but they were removed as soon as i used the ball cleaner.

The green interaction is actually very good, it grabs the green very nicely. Even with thinned shots that are going fast tend to slow down a lot on the green and when i get a good shot with the right amount of spin, it grabs the green perfectly.

And when i got them they weren't scratched, dented or marked! i remember getting a dozen Bridgestone balls and at least half were marked and scuffed. So i was very happy to see the quality of the balls when they came.

I usually lose 3-5 balls a round because of how bad i am but last 18, i lost only 1!! Is that the ball or the operator? Im not sure but i will say it is the ball for added confidence when playing these.

Like i said i am new but these balls have been my favorite to play with, and i tried many known brands.

I will be getting these Srixons Soft Feel for the foreseeable future and will only change if i feel like the new ball can outperform the srixons soft feel performance and price range.
