    I had planned to give this as a gift but almost immediately found a mistake on page 86 and changed my mind. You be the judge, "Distance water won't help to put out a fire close at hand." Obviously the word should be "distant". Someone should have proofread it to catch what the spellchecker didn't.

    Otherwise it's a good book with a nice selection of quotes that I'll add to my reference books.

It was a selection of ostensibly ancient Chinese proverbs, though a few of them sounded more modern American to me. It was fine as far as it went - a handy little book to dip into - but I would have liked to know their source, and there was no publication information. As with the biblical variety, some of these sayings make more sense than others.
