    My kids are creative so they loved these things. They've made so many cute little things with these beads. Just know that you need to have an iron handy to finish off the projects. I bought one of the little mini craft irons for my daughter to use (she's 13), my 8 yr old gets assistance with it. You also need to get some parchment paper to lay across the project before ironing. Also, be careful not to spill these things or you will spend several minutes (hours) picking THOUSANDS of beads up off of your floor that you eventually decide to say to hell with and just end up vacuuming them up. You will also continue to find these little gems in every corner of your house. A small price to pay for the joy and smiles of the little ones that will fight over who has more of a certain color bead and who has copy catted the others idea. I suggest if you have more than one kid.....by multiple sets to save your sanity.

    I recently bought a pegboard set not realizing that it doesn't come with any perler beads so I was pretty upset about that. However finding this very large set of Perler Beads was really a blessing. It's very affordable and it comes with so many different beads all four of our kids can have a blast making some of these designs. The only thing I don't like about this is the fact that none of the beads are separated so if you do want to use a bunch of the same color you're going to have to dig through the box. But that being said I'm not the one going to be using them so the kids could just have at it. This comes with so many different colored beads you can make a tons of different things and I love the fact that it comes in a reusable sealed container that even has a lid on it so you can carry it around. Once they use a good majority of these beads I'll probably just throw the peg boards in the same container so this set can be all contained in one sealed container. This comes with a little bit of ironing paper as well as some instructions which is really nice because I didn't know exactly how long you're supposed to iron at for. This mixed was some Peg boards and you'll have your kids along and entertaining fun activity.

    Let me start off by saying I'm not a big "crafter". However, one day I was looking into buying drink coasters and found out that a lot of people make their own with Perler beads. I saw a lot of old school, 8-bit Nintendo coasters that different people had made. That really drew me in since I'm into that sort of thing.

    I figured I'd give this a try as it seemed simple enough. All you do is place the different colored beads on a pegboard in the design you want, place a piece of parchment paper over your design and then run an iron across it for somewhere between 10-20 seconds. The heat will cause the beads to melt together and keep their form.

    It should be noted that this set of beads does NOT come with any pegboards for your beads, so if you don't have any yet you might want to purchase some like I did (http://www.amazon.com/Perler-Beads-Clear-Square-Pegboards/dp/B005HZ35FK/ref=sr_1_1?s=toys-and-games&ie=UTF8&qid=1391633250&sr=1-1&keywords=perler+pegboards).

    There are other similar types of beads like these around. I read many reviews online and the consensus seemed to be that these are the best quality. The only reason I didn't give this specific tub of beads 5 stars is that it is actually pretty time consuming to go through all the different colors of beads in here to find certain colors you are looking for. So I think from here on out I will be buying colors either individually or packaged together yet each color with it's own individual tray.
