That trio made me laugh few times in last ep. I dont mind going more comedy than serious demon hunting. Blonde guy was rather patethic alone but combined with boar and main hero they make quite funny team. Biggest problem is pacing but it can be dealt with more comedy. When you laugh you are not bored.
They managed to make it better than the manga... like they actually made me emotional and got a tear out of me in the latest episode #19. I didn't feel it in manga. So I can recommend this anime.
I have been researching the insert song, called Tajiro Komodo's Song, and the wiki has info on it here: https://kimetsu-no-yaiba.fandom.com/wiki/Tanjiro_Kamado%27s_Song#Kanji
They give the romanji of it here: Ga ni kasu ichi-taku o unmei to kakugo suru doro o name agaitemo-me ni mienu hosoi ito nakitaku naru yōna yasashī oto don'nani kuyashikute mo mae e mae e mukae zetsubō o tachi kizutsuite mo kizutsuite mo tachiagaru shika nai don'nani uchinomesa rete mo mamoru mono ga aru mamoru mono ga aru
Translation:
Be prepared for fate as an alternative to me
Even if you lick mud and scratch your feet
Invisible thin thread
Gentle sound that makes you want to cry
No matter how regrettable
Previous Previous Heading
Desperate
Be hurt or hurt
There is no choice but to stand up
No matter how beaten
There is something to protect
There is something to protect
It really was great as far as production goes, possibly the most effort that has ever been put into a Jump adaptation, however the fight itself was garbage. It relied on the worst tropes of the genre, with convenient flashback at the last moment granting them new finishing moves out of nowhere at the same time, and winning with the power of friendship family (at least that has some loose thematic connection here). I feel like if it didn't have this audiovisual presentation most people would be scoffing at it.
The show is great... Keeping the slightly serious vibe up. Nice!
And then side characters show up...
If they were just slightly less retarded it would fit into the story mood much better... But now they seem really out of place... Maybe a bucket load of character development can help wash them down but still... I almost choked when they came up...
Man, this terrible training arc has really killed the momentum. It's so dragged out and void of creativity, and it managed to make Zenitsu even more insufferable.
Ep 25 and we are headed to the Infinity Train arc. I smell a second season, as rhar arc is a long one. Maybe it would be in the upcoming movie??
Great series. Good OP and ED, composer for music for Princess Principal and Lord El- Melloi II Rail Zeppelin, which is also excellent. Very good art and direction, qnd pretty faithful to the source material. No complaints except Nezuko is not given enough to do. She is his motivation and reason to become strong, but she has not had much screen time. Character develpment must be in season 2...
I will be watching for season 2. Ufotable kept their standards high and I think Tales of Zesteria and Fate/stay are obviously influences in the fighting sequences. In my top 3 for the season.
Started this show a few days ago and already caught up. It's just brilliant and I couldn't stop watching. Not everything is perfect but what it does right, it does in a terrific way!
The execution of the last episode was amazing in every area, the cg of the infinity fortress was incredible and the atmosphere was fantastic, such a massive improvement over the manga, which is really the weakest part of this anime, because while I enjoy it I find it extremely mediocre and unambitious, there is very little world building and always has the most basic mission based structure. But with this incredible adaptation boosting its sales to an insane degree I hope Shueisha's production committees keep this up instead of torturing Pierrot with impossible projects, because I can't wait to see more Jump adaptations like this in the future.

If that cheese is some old processed crap like slices of American cheese or a slathered with Cheez Whiz. It's an old trope that you don't even see anymore to this degree, only maybe in Fairy Tail, but that's silly to begin with so it doesn't stick out as much, and here it was at its absolute worst (although it did happen recently in the MHA manga and almost everybody hated that too, but there is more reason to that).
