This is my Animal Crossing blog! Focusing mostly on New Leaf, obviously, but. I try to record my own adventures as well as reblog various Animal Crossing content. I can't post my New Leaf screenshots directly because this is a side blog, but I do rebubble them (and they're tagged #rebubbled livebubbles)!
One specific villager and you want to keep everyone else? (If you don’t care who ends up in boxes, the foolproof cycling method is the best, moving out one villager takes 5 minutes.)
If you know how to time travel, then yep. Do the following: check for moving rumours first.
If you heard two of these rumours from twodifferent villagers (!), save & quit and you can start tting right away.
If not, you should have heard who plans on moving and get them to ping you and deny the move (if you don’t want them out, that is). Save & quit.
Both are ways to make sure you won’t end up with someone in boxes while tting forward. From here on, the process is the same:
Load up the game again with Isabelle — but tt one month forward. Make sure to choose a daytime when everyone’s awake (11am onward).
Talk to all the villagers outside once, save & quit.
Load up again and the moving villager should ping you. If they don’t, save & quit and load up again until they do.
Deny if you want to keep them and tt forward another month, rinse & repeat.
If the right one wants to move out, hurrah!
That way you can go through a lot of moving requests and it takes only about 5-10 minutes per request, although it can take a while until the villager you want to move out will announce to move. (Please note that the villager who moved in most recently might not request to move out at all, but it will work with everyone else. Also, make sure to have the Beautiful Town ordinance in effect if you have flowers. Don’t do this if you have dirt paths, your grass will be healed after the first time jump!)
After you finished tting and got the unwanted villager to move out, make sure to introduce yourself to every single remaining villager, otherwise they won’t ping you when they think about moving.
hey guys, i just had a crappy experience on club tortimer. i showed up here and this person immediately went to leilani and planned to go on a tour, but never did. she asked if she could “try on” my dress, which is a pattern. i told her that and she said fuck you, youre a liar.
at this point i was ready to leave but i COULDNT LEAVE. until a-wwow went on her tour, i couldnt. she told me to give her all my bells. i said no, and she kept me there, repeatedly yelling at me for my bells. eventually i just turned my ds off because thats bullshit.
if you see this user while on club tortimer, id advise you to leave immediately. same goes for anyone who locks you in the island.
I’m not sure if people know this but if someone tries to trap you you can flick the switch and disconnect. You’ll get an error message but if you put all your things in the basket everything will be there, so don’t worry about people who try to trap you because you can still have all your things.

Daniel Feit predicted this happening – somewhat cynically – in an article we reprinted last year. “So, yeah, maybe through alternate costumes it’ll be possible to switch the Animal Crossing villager’s gender, but that doesn’t change the fact that every poster, every website, and every ad will feature the boy-version.”
He’s not wrong! But this is still a lot cooler than not having the option at all.

I finally got my island perfectly set up for night-time beetle hunting.
The shells on the edge of the beach prevent hermit crabs, and the bushes on the sides and in the middle make it super easy to run close enough to the tiger beetles to make them hop away. The only thing left that I haven’t been able to solve are the wharf roaches. Those are still a huge pain.
If I wanted to make it even more efficient, those stumps are totally unneeded. I just like having them there.
