KUALA LUMPUR: Multi-talented Datuk Fazley Yaakob was recently made the men's health ambassador of a private medical centre and is going all-out to raise awareness of men's health.
Fazley, 45, said in a news report today that he wanted to encourage men to be more open about their health and to seek medical assistance if they faced problems.
"Men's health is a serious issue that needs professional medical attention. It may still be a taboo to many but I believe men are slowly becoming more open about discussing it," said Fazley who is the ambassador of He Medical Clinic.
Fazley, who is a singer, celebrity chef and author, hoped that his new role as a men's health ambassador would encourage 40-somethings to take better care of their health by emulating him.
"I make full use of social media to promote my fit and active lifestyle which involves regular exercise and eating right," he said.
"Men of my age group need to take good care of themselves as this is the time where illnesses begin to attack us. We should go for health screenings if we haven't done so."
