Accompanied by two notes, one from W. C. Mathison dated 14 Nov. 1867 stating that in Professor Miller's opinion the papers are worth preservation, the second note signed by Isaac Todhunter 7 June 1873 notes that he sewed those items held together with pins and removed some letters to file with other letters.
