Front View

Like its 13.3-inch sibling the Latitude 7300 (itself a relative of the popular XPS 13 consumer model), Dell's 14-inch Latitude 7400 is a highly capable and configurable business ultraportable.
Angle View

Both touch and non-touch 1080p displays are available (we'll ignore the low-rent 1,366 by 768 standard screen), including one ultra-low-power panel and two with SafeScreen privacy technology.
Keyboard and Touchpad

The 7400's backlit keyboard is comfortable and its two-button touchpad glides and taps smoothly, though its power button proved balky in its second job as a fingerprint reader.
Rear View

Barely fitting under the three-pound mark (2.99 pounds), the Dell is easy to carry whether you choose the aluminum or carbon fiber lid finish.
Left Ports

Along with the AC adapter connector, you'll find Thunderbolt 3 and HDMI ports and a USB 3.1 Type-A port on the laptop's left side.
Right Ports

The right edge holds an audio jack, microSD card slot, second USB-A port (this one with device charging), a Noble security lock slot.
Overhead View

The Latitude 7400 can be had in either Core i5 or Core i7 guise with up to 32GB of memory and 1TB of solid-state storage. You can choose from 802.11ac or 802.11ax (Wi-Fi 6) wireless with optional mobile broadband.
Webcam

Both standard and face recognition 720p webcams are available. A sliding shutter makes the camera useless to online snoops.
Underside

Small speakers at the bottom front can easily fill a conference room with decent sound, though you shouldn't expect booming bass.
