Taylor Swift Releases Limited Edition Cardigan in Honor of '1989 (Taylor's Version)'

The album was released on Friday and included five new vault tracks

Taylor Swift is making sure all her fans stay warm during the holiday season!

The pop superstar, 33, launched a limited edition cardigan in honor of Friday's highly anticipated release of 1989 (Taylor's Version).

Swifties will notice that the light blue button-down cardigan takes inspiration from the album's cover art, with its seagull design embroidered on the back and cream-colored stripes positioned around its collar and hem.

The garment also has "1989" embroidered on its front left chest and a small rectangular patch with the initials "T.S." sewn on the bottom. It is made of 55% polyester material and 45% acrylic fabric.

It is available for pre-order on Swift's website for $69.89 while supplies last or until 1:59 p.m. ET on Monday. While fans can expect the cardigan to ship on or about Dec. 15, the website notes that delays may occur.

The singer's album launch was announced in August during her final show in Los Angeles for the Eras Tour. The re-release comes nine years after she first dropped the original crossover pop album and includes five previously unreleased tracks.

Following her announcement, she opened up about why the re-release was special to her in a post on Instagram.

"Surprise!! 1989 (Taylor’s Version) is on its way to you 🔜," she wrote. "The 1989 album changed my life in countless ways, and it fills me with such excitement to announce that my version of it will be out October 27th. To be perfectly honest, this is my most FAVORITE re-record I’ve ever done because the 5 From The Vault tracks are so insane. I can’t believe they were ever left behind. But not for long! Pre order 1989 (Taylor’s Version) on my site 🩵😎🩵."

The "Bad Blood" singer echoed similar sentiments while celebrating its release on Friday.

"I was born in 1989, reinvented for the first time in 2014, and a part of me was reclaimed in 2023 with the re-release of this album I love so dearly. Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine the magic would you sprinkle on my life for so long," she wrote as part of a written note shared on Instagram.

Swift's fans can also celebrate the album's re-release by watching the concert film Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour, which arrived in theaters on Oct. 12. The film brought in $92.8 million in ticket sales over its three-day opening weekend and Thursday night previews, making it the fifth-biggest opening of any theatrical release this year.
