Kacee Camp at her jersey retirement ceremonyOn Wednesday, Feb. 26, Kacee Camp’s No. 14 jersey was retired in Christenberry Fieldhouse. A native of nearby Harlem, Ga., Camp graduated in 2012 with a biology degree and a 3.88 grade point average.

The first ever Academic All-American in ASU history, Camp batted .390 and scored 35 runs in her historic senior year. She tallied 13 doubles, three triples, four home runs and 27 RBI and helped lead the Jaguars to the NCAA Southeast Regional for the fourth consecutive season.

Camp was named the Female Student-Athlete of the Year for the Jaguars in 2012 and garnered All-Southeast Region honors for the fourth straight year. She was selected to the All-Peach Belt Conference first team and she was also named to the PBC's All-Academic squad, while sporting the highest GPA of any player on the team.

She registered 20 extra-base hits and a .451 on-base percentage her senior season as the Jags' top offensive threat. Camp batted 6-for-12 with a double and three runs scored to help the Jags reach the NCAA Southeast Regional championship game in Dahlonega, Ga., on May 6, 2012. Camp ranked in the top 15 of the PBC in nine offensive categories: batting average, slugging percentage, on-base percentage, doubles, triples, RBI, runs, stolen bases, and hits.
