While 2017 overall was hardly a record-setting one for Austin real estate, luxury sales remain a subject of fascination for many. As the year comes to a close, we thought it would be a good time to check in on the state of that market. How did those multi-million, blockbuster listings fare in 2017?

For a closer look at these pricey homes, we ferreted out information from real estate website Redfin and locally focused sites for Realty Austin and Moreland Properties to compile a list of the 12 property sales in Austin that fetched top dollar this year.

Not surprisingly, all 10 are located well west of I-35 and between Hwy. 183 to the north and Hwy. 290 to the south.

This map focuses only on sold single-family homes and condos that have publicly available data—there were no doubt some private listings that sold for more than the highest listed here. Locations are listed from most to least expensive. Now go forth and ogle.
