Despite what you may have read elsewhere, Flying Blue's monthly Promo Rewards discounted pricing is just now live! At the start of January, Flying Blue announced discounted award pricing for several destinations but didn’t load the lower rates due to a technical issue. Now, we’re happy to report that the deals are there — and ready to book!
For the uninitiated, Flying Blue is the loyalty program for Air France, KLM, and a few smaller airlines, and Promo Rewards is the program's monthly promotion to discount award flights by 25% on select routes operated by Air France and KLM. Flying Blue may discount any combination of economy, premium economy, and business-class awards — depending on the route.
Flying Blue's January 2025 offerings let travelers book awards from five U.S. airports plus a few more gateways in the Caribbean and Mexico to Europe for just 15,000 miles each way in economy, 26,250 miles in premium economy, or 52,500 miles in business class.
This month, Flying Blue's Promo Rewards travel window extends through the end of June 2025. That means travelers can book up to six months out and lock in these low award prices. Here's a look at the current Flying Blue Promo Rewards and how to maximize them for cheap award travel.

Flying Blue Promo Rewards Routes for January 2025
Flying Blue discounts economy, premium economy, and/or business class awards, depending on the route. For bookings in January 2025, the following five U.S. cities are discounted:
- Atlanta (ATL): 25% discount on economy class
- Miami (MIA): 25% discount on economy class
- Phoenix (PHX): 25% discount on economy class
- Chicago (ORD): 25% discount on premium economy class
- New York (JFK): 25% discount on premium economy class
But if you go a bit further south, you'll find even more airports you can fly out of:
- Aruba (AUA): 25% discount on economy class
- Bonaire (BON): 25% discount on economy class
- Fort de France (FDF): 25% discount on economy class
- Cancun (CUN): 25% discount on premium economy class
- St. Martin (SXM): 25% discount on business class
When we map those out, you can see that these airports are peppered across the United States, the Yucatan Peninsula, and the southern part of the Caribbean:
Flying Blue Promo Rewards Award Pricing
Flying Blue standardized award rates between the U.S. and Europe. Now, all routes start at 20k Flying Blue miles in economy, 35k in premium economy, or 50k in business class. That means a 25% discount reduces award rates between North America and Europe as low as:
- 15,000 miles each way in economy.
- 26,250 miles each way in premium economy.
- 37,500 miles each way in business class — or 52,500 miles if you fly from parts of the Caribbean, such as St. Martin (SXM).
Example Flying Blue Promo Rewards Awards
Throughout this month's booking window, availability is generally good for flights between North America, the Caribbean, and Europe — in all classes. Here are some examples of the Flying Blue Promo Rewards you can book during January for travel through June of this year:
Business class between St. Martin and Paris for 52,500 miles
Nowadays, it's not very often that Flying Blue will release discounted business class award space. But for this month, you can book awards between St. Martin (SXM) and Europe for as little as 52,500 miles plus taxes and fees. Thus, you may find it worthwhile to book a positioning flight to take advantage of this great price if you're starting in the Caribbean.
Premium economy between Chicago and Berlin for 26,250 miles
If you want to fly across the Atlantic in a bit more comfort than economy class allows, it's worth trying out Air France's premium economy cabin. This month, you could book such an award for less — from Chicago to Berlin via Paris — for a reasonable 26,250 miles per way plus taxes and fees.
Economy between Atlanta and Amsterdam for 15,000 miles
Flying Blue Promo Rewards offer some of the most cost effective ways to get between North America and Europe — especially in economy. For example, you can fly between Atlanta (ATL) and Amsterdam (AMS) for just 15,000 miles plus taxes and fees.

Our Take
Flying Blue Promo Rewards offers an amazing opportunity to maximize your points and miles. The list of destinations available in January offers a handful of options across a few classes of travel, making already cheap awards even cheaper.
No matter how you plan to fly, you can book discounted awards through June 30, 2025, provided you make your reservation by January 31, 2025. Travel between North America and Europe, Turkey, and North Africa is available most months for as low as 15,000 miles in economy.
Since Flying Blue is a transfer partner of all major transferable points programs, you can redeem for discounted awards no matter which points you collect. If there's no Promo Reward available from your airport, Flying Blue still offers several sweet spots outside of these monthly discounts.
