Gilbert Jertberg
Gilbert H. Jertburg (1897-1973) was a federal judge for the United States District Court for the Southern District of California and the United States Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit. Jertberg died on June 8, 1973.
Ninth Circuit
Jertberg was nominated to the Ninth Circuit by President Dwight Eisenhower on August 16, 1958, to a seat vacated by Dal Lemmon; he was confirmed by the Senate on August 19, 1958, and received his commission on August 21, 1958. He assumed senior status on September 30, 1967. He served the Ninth Circuit until his death on June 8, 1973.[1]
Southern District of California
Jertberg was nominated to the Southern District of California by President Dwight Eisenhower on January 21, 1955, to a seat vacated by Campbell Beaumont; he was confirmed by the Senate on March 14, 1955, and received commission on March 16, 1955. He served the Southern District of California until he was elevated to the Ninth Circuit on September 1, 1958.[1]
