James Lane (Virginia)
James Lane was the Virginia Superintendent of Public Instruction. He assumed office on June 1, 2018. He left office on January 3, 2022.
Lane previously served as division superintendent in Chesterfield County, Goochland County and Middlesex County.[1]
Biography
Dr. Lane earned a bachelor’s degree and a master's degree in teaching from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, a master's degree in school administration from North Carolina State University, and a doctorate in education from the University of Virginia. His career experience includes working as a superintendent.[1]
