Campaign themes

2016

The following issues were listed on Cheng's campaign website. For a full list of campaign themes, click here.

  • Reduce Taxes, Create Jobs and Improve Economy: America is in a major economic crisis. Income of most people are stagnant. Creating more Jobs are critical to our recovery. Reduce Individual income tax, make tax code simple, fair and clear so that Americans have faith on consumption. Repeal the death tax, enabling Americans to pass on their farms, businesses, and hard-earned wealth to their relatives without paying taxes or making complicated tax planning.
  • Reform Health Care System: The best health care decisions should be made by patient and doctor. Obamacare has upended the patient-doctor relationship. It has caused the increases in premiums, deductibles and co-pays, less choice for patient to access to the doctors and health care plans which they trusted. ObamaCare must be repealed and replaced by a market-driven program fueled by competition. If I am elected I will work on repealing Obamacare and reforming health care system as described below.
  • Balance Budget: The spending by the government must cost less and be more efficient. A smaller government will cost less. By cutting spending of government, taxes can be decreased. We need to balance our budget. Our national debt must be substantially reduced annually, to reach a zero balance of the budget, leave our future generations free of our mistakes. We need to make a Constitutional Amendment to ensure future prosperity.
  • Secure Border, Destroy Isis and Terrorists: Border security is important for our country, America. We must have securely sealed borders, with proper crossing points and transit lanes for legal entrance into America. This is priority to protect our nation. The federal government is responsible for international borders, airports, and seaports. Individual states are also allowed to guarantee the security of their borders with foreign countries, international airports, and seaports that have transit with international waters.
  • National Defense and Security: The security, safety of our country and the protecting population are our highest priority. We have to rebuild the military and restore faith with national defense. Increase our intelligence services capability.
