Ouch! It hurts to see any car manhandled by nature, but a tree branch atop a CTS Wagon? It’s a crime against nature, perpetrated by nature! Regardless, this poor CTS was bought new by the seller’s father-in-law. At his passing, the seller inherited the CTS and drove it from Florida to New Jersey to sell, but due to circumstances beyond his control (the aforementioned tree branch), it is being offered as a Barn Finds Auction. With a mere 63,000 miles on the odometer and a solid maintenance history, this is a car that could be repaired and placed back into service by a capable body shop technician.

The CTS Wagon caused a bit of a stir upon its release for the 2010 model year. The SUV had long superseded station wagons, and for General Motors to buck the trend and release one that was not only practical but beautiful showed the world that even post-bankruptcy, it still had some moxie. The wagon feels like a cult classic these days, and I think it has an ageless appeal that the sedan and coupe versions lack. Needless to say, most cars would earn a trip to the salvage yard after a date with a tree branch, but I think there’s hope for this CTS because of that status.

One of the few criticisms that the magazines leveled at the wagon upon its arrival was the interior; Motor Trend noticed that the fit and finish was not up to the standard set by German competitors such as BMW, Audi, and Mercedes. The drivelines, on the other hand, were always solid, this wagon being powered by the 3.0-liter V6, which produced 270 horsepower. Backed by a six-speed automatic, you can expect brisk acceleration and reasonable fuel mileage. Before you slip behind the wheel, there will be some vacuuming to do.

Yes, there is glass everywhere, so the interior will need the deepest of deep cleaning. So, if you’re keeping score, what will it take to bring this attractive Cadillac back from the brink? It needs a windshield, back glass, and a moonroof. It will surely need roof repair. It will most likely need a paint job (that Florida sun, you know). However, this could be an excellent daily driver with style for the right person. If you aren’t scared by tree damage and have the tools to effect a solid repair, bid now on Barn Finds Auctions.

IMO, THIS wagon (like most current vehicles And Cadillac in particular) is truly DRAGGIN. Even without the problems mentioned, It’s completely CADILLACKING. Oh how the mighty have fallen from being The Standard of the WORLD.

If it was a CTS-V wagon it would be worth a high end restoration. The way this sits now a couple grand is what it’s worth, roof repairs, glass, paint and what else?

That was one hell of a tree. Did it go through the car?
